With Wednesday’s appointments of top bosses in the Intelligence Bureau and RAW, the batch of 1984 IPS officers has emerged as the lucky lot to be occupying most high-profile slots meant for police officers. Officers of this batch are heading at least six other agencies — NIA, BSF, CISF, ITBP, NSG and the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.
