Justin Baldoni's Addiction Revealed Amid Blake Lively Lawsuit

American actor and filmmaker Justin Baldoni recently admitted to having an unhealthy relationship with porn in a resurfaced interview, which has gained attention following Blake Lively's lawsuit, Page Six reported. In the interview, the actor revealed that he was first exposed to pornography at the age of 10 and developed an unhealthy relationship with it over time.

"I was introduced to porn when I was 10 years old. Long before I ever, you know, could have an erection or even knew how I felt about anything. It was, you know, like any young boy who sees boobs for the first time, it's exciting because our culture has shielded them from us because they're sexualised. It's cultural," Baldoni shared on a July 2021 episode of Sarah Grynberg's 'A Life of Greatness' podcast.

"You go to places like Africa and different tribes … and the breast is the breast. We've sexualised this thing, so, of course, it becomes fascinating and interesting and you're like, 'Oh my God, b**bs.' And then, you know, hormones start raging," he added.

The 40-year-old actor stated that he would turn to porn as a coping mechanism when feeling alone, abandoned, or hurt, as it provided a temporary "dopamine rush".

"I trained my brain to deal with pain with the dopamine hit. … But it doesn't mean that I'm not using something in an unhealthy way. And I found myself, throughout my life, going back to looking at images and videos of naked women when I was feeling necessarily bad about myself. And I knew that it was an issue for me when I would tell myself that I don't want to do that," Mr Baldoni added.

Blake Lively's lawsuit against Justin Baldoni

The resurfacing of Baldoni's comments comes in the wake of Blake Lively's allegations. The actress recently filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, her co-star in the film 'It Ends with Us,' alleging sexual harassment, workplace misconduct, and a coordinated smear campaign. The lawsuit claims that Baldoni's behaviour created a hostile work environment and that he retaliated against Lively after she raised concerns about his actions.

Specific allegations against Baldoni include unplanned physical intimacy, invasive behaviour, and graphic scene additions. Lively also accused Baldoni of making inappropriate remarks and discussing his past struggles with addiction in a way that made her uncomfortable. The actress claims there had to be an intervention to stop him from showing her nude videos/images of women and to stop mentioning his previous experiences with sex.

The 40-year-old actor was also instructed to refrain from making comments about the cast and crew's genitalia, as well as remarks about Lively's weight or her late father. Additionally, Baldoni was told to stop inserting extra sex scenes into the film that were not included in the approved script, some of which involved explicit content, such as orgasming on camera.

Baldoni's legal team has strongly denied Lively's allegations, calling them entirely false, outrageous, and deliberately sensational. His attorney, Bryan Freedman, argued that Lively's lawsuit is a desperate effort to address her tarnished reputation.

Scarlett Johansson Shocked As Husband Colin Jost Jokes About Her On SNL

Scarlett Johansson was left shocked as she made a surprise appearance on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL) with her husband, Colin Jost, making numerous jokes about the Hollywood star's age, their child and their sex life. During the "Weekend Update" of SNL's Christmas edition, anchors, Mr Jost and Michael Che were doing their annual "joke exchange" where they both write jokes for each other. The prompts are designed to land either of them in hot water and this year, Mr Jost received the short end of the stick.

“I want to dedicate this next joke to my boo, Scarlett Johansson,” said Mr Jost, reading the joke from the teleprompter as the Avengers star looked on nervously from the backstage.

“Oh my gosh, she's so genuinely worried,” said Mr Jost, briefly breaking his on-screen character.

“Y'all know Scarlett just celebrated her 40th birthday, which means I'm about to get up out of there,” he added, with the camera quickly panning away to Ms Johansson, who was both simultaneously laughing and gobsmacked.

“Shiz! Nah, nah. I'm just playin',” he added.

“We just had a kid together, and y'all ain't see no pictures of him yet, because he's Black as hell!” said Mr Jost as a photoshopped image of himself and Ms Johansson was displayed on the screen.

Just when Mr Jost thought the segment had ended, another joke popped up which he reluctantly began to read.

“Costco has removed their roast beef sandwich from its menu, but I ain't tripping. I be eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid,” said Jost causing an eruption of laughter from the entire cast and crew.

Ms Johansson looked shocked, mouthing, “Oh my gosh".

Internet reacts

The jokes left the audience as well as social media users in split who said Mr Che had landed his colleague in trouble with the brutal jokes.

"Scarlett is either a fantastic actress or was truly genuinely shocked," said one user, while another added: "Haven't laughed like this watching Saturday Night Live in a while. Che definitely got Colin this year. Lol."

A third commented: "The Weekend Update joke swap has become the best part of the show and tonight did not disappoint."

Notably, this is not the first instance when Mr Jost has been forced to make such jokes about her wife. In July, earlier this year, during another joke swap segment, Mr Che made his colleague say:

“ChatGPT has released a new voice assistant feature inspired by Scarlett Johansson's AI character in Her,” a nervous Mr Jost told viewers. “Which I've never bothered to watch, because without that body what's the point of listening?”

While the jokes are made at the expense of both anchors, the segment is often the most-watched part of SNL.

Penguin Waits Patiently As Couple Clears Path In Antarctica, Video Is Viral

A heartwarming video from Antarctica, showcasing a delightful encounter between a curious penguin and a thoughtful couple has gone viral on social media. In the clip, the couple unintentionally blocks a snowy pathway, forcing the penguin to wait patiently. As the couple takes in the breathtaking scenery, they remain oblivious to the penguin quietly waiting behind them. The bird waits without making a fuss, clearly expecting the couple to move aside. Notably, penguins are known for their established pathways and cautious navigation around obstacles. Once the couple notices the little creature, they kindly step aside, allowing the penguin to pass.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Ciera Ybarra wrote, "When you're too nervous to say excuse me and there is traffic on the penguin highway. Captured on the Antarctic Peninsula while on an expedition with." The text on the video read, "Who knew penguins were so polite?"

Watch the video here:

Ms Ybarra provided additional insight, explaining that the red flag in the video indicates a human-made trail designed to keep visitors away from penguin nesting areas. However, penguins often prefer the path of least resistance, leading them to veer onto the human trail.

"Penguins like the easiest route to travel, so a few of them found their way onto the human trail," she said.

The video has captured the hearts of many, showcasing the remarkable thoughtfulness and patience of these adorable penguins. One user wrote, "Of course they are. Why do you think they go around dressed so nice in their little tuxedos? Distinguished gentle-penguins"

Another commented, "Wow! Love this! That's so interesting he knew to wait & when to go."

A third said, "Aww that cute little thing. Eating my heart out of cuteness.''

A fourth added, "This just made my day." Yet another noted, "Homie has better manners than 98%of the human population.

Several Injured As Car Crashes Into Christmas Market In Germany

A car barrelled through a Christmas market crowd in the eastern German city of Magdeburg on Friday, leaving 60 to 80 people injured, in what regional authorities were treating as a suspected attack.

German media reported that there had been at least one dead, but this was not immediately confirmed.

NTV television showed multiple ambulances and fire engines at the chaotic site with injured people being rushed off to hospitals and others being treated as they lay on the ground.

Cries and screams could be heard as police, medics and the fire service deployed to the litter-strewn market decorated with Christmas trees and festive lights.

"We presume it was an attack," a spokeswoman for the interior ministry of Saxony-Anhalt state told AFP.

News weekly Der Spiegel, citing security sources, said that a black BMW had barrelled through the crowd at high speed just after 7:00 pm local time (1800 GMT) when the market was filled with revellers.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz wrote on X that "the reports from Magdeburg raise the worst fears".

"My thoughts are with the victims and their families. We stand by their side and by the side of the people of Magdeburg. My thanks go to the dedicated rescue workers in these anxious hours."

The bloody carnage recalled a 2016 jihadist attack in which a Tunisian man driving a lorry killed 12 people in a Christmas market in Berlin.

A 13th victim died later having suffered serious injuries in the assault, claimed by the Islamic State (IS) group.

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser has recently called on people to be vigilant at Christmas markets although she said authorities had not received any specific threats.

Domestic security service the Office for the Protection of the Constitution had warned it considers Christmas markets to be an "ideologically suitable target for Islamist-motivated people".

'One Nation, One Poll' Panel Gets More Members After Some Parties Object

The Joint Parliamentary Committee to review the One Nation One Election bill will have eight more members. Now it will have 27 members from Lok Sabha and 12 from Rajya Sabha, instead of 21 members from the lower house and 10 from the upper house, as was initially declared. The number has been increased after former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena UBT leader Uddhav Thackeray and a few other parties pointed out that none of their members have been included in the committee.

Even so, the Committee - which the government wants to include all political parties -- still does not include members from the Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United and Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party. The Rajya Sabha members, however, are yet to be named. One member from Shiv Sena UBT has been included now.

The committee can have a maximum of 31 MPs based on each party's Lok Sabha numbers. This favours the ruling BJP - the largest party in the Lower House with 240 MPs. The Congress has 99 MPs.

The new members include Anil Desai ( Shivsena UBT ) Chhotelal (BJP), Vaijayant Panda (BJP), Shambhavi Chaudhary (LJP Ram Vilas), Sanjay Jaiswal (BJP) and K Radhakrishnan (CPM).

The Constitution (129th Amendment) Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha earlier this week. The bill will pave the way for simultaneous elections to the Lok Sabha, state assembles and local bodies with minimum gap.

But its implementation will require a series of amendments to the Constitution that can only be done with two-thirds majority in parliament. Some provisions may have to be ratified by the governments of states and Union Territories.

Given the huge changes this will involve, the government plans to start a dialogue that will involve all stakeholders and get everyone on board.

The Opposition has already been voicing its objections, with most parties contending that the bill will subvert the Constitution - an allegation the government has repeatedly refuted.

Introduced on Tuesday by Law Minister Arjun Meghwal in the Lok Sabha, the One Nation One Election Bill has sparked hours of bitter arguments which is still having ripple effects. The absence of a few BJP members from the house despite a party whip enthused the Opposition into claiming that bill had critics even within the ruling party.

Legal experts have warned that failure to pass the amendments will leave the government open to allegations that it is distorting India's federal structure. Many Opposition parties have already claimed the Centre is robbing the states of the right to self-determination, besides violating the Constitution.

While introducing the bill, Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said, "Laws can be brought in for electoral reforms... this bill is aligned with the process of easing the electoral process, which will be synchronised. There will be no damage to the Constitution via this Bill. There will be no tampering with the basic structure of the Constitution".

"Arrest Of Allu Arjun Proves...": Union Minister Slams Congress In Telangana

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today launched an attack on the Congress government in Telangana over the arrest of superstar Allu Arjun in the stampede case during the screening of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. A woman had died in the stampede.

Allu Arjun was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court today.

"Congress has no respect for the creative industry and the arrest of Allu Arjun proves it yet again," the Union Minister wrote on X.

He said the unfortunate incident at Sandhya Theatre, where the woman was killed and her child was critically injured in the stampede due to fan frenzy, was a clear case of poor arrangement by the state and local administration.

"Now, to deflect that blame, they are indulging in such publicity stunts," Mr Vaishnaw said.

He said the Telangana government should instead help those affected by the stampede and punish those who made the arrangements that day, instead of continuously attacking film personalities.

"It is also sad to see this becoming a norm in the one year Congress has been in power there," Mr Vaishnaw said.

The Hyderabad Police arrested Allu Arjun in a case filed against him by the woman's family in connection with the stampede.

He was arrested from his house in Jubilee Hills, hours after he returned from Delhi after attending the success meet of 'Pushpa 2'. He was granted interim bail for four weeks by the high court after a city court sent him to 14-day judicial custody.

For regular bail, Allu Arjun was told to approach the Nampally court.

Many celebrities and politicians came out in support of the superstar; they said celebrities are becoming soft targets.

Not Country's "Moral Guardian": Harish Salve On Supreme Court's Role

Harish Salve, senior advocate and the country's leading constitutional expert, today explained the larger-than-life image of the Supreme Court, indicating that it is executive inaction that led to such a situation. The court, he added, was placed in the spot which it still occupies, but it has to be clearly understood that it is not the "moral guardian" of the country, he added.

"Our Supreme Court has a very misplaced position in society," Mr Salve told NDTV in an exclusive interview.

"In no country is the Supreme Court such an important institution of governance. Our Supreme Court has been put there and unfortunately preserves that position," he said.

"That is why there are at times a lot of public disappointment to judgments. The public does not understand that the Supreme Court does not run the country. The Supreme Court is not the moral guardian of Indians. Let's be very clear about that," he added.

There have been times when the executive has shied away from controversial decisions and left it to the top court, he said.

As example he cited the situation in December 1992 when kar sevaks had gathered outside Ayodhya's Babri Masjid, ready to pull it down.

"When the judge called the government and said, 'What do you plan to do' the Attorney General said, 'The forces are there waiting for your Lordship's orders'," he said.

"This is a politically controversial decision. Either we have the courage to say 'Yes, We have to go ahead and finish this' or we accept that we can't do this. Those are political decisions to be taken, not hiding behind the skirts of the Supreme Court," he said.

"The trouble is, if for every difficult decision you hide behind the skirts of the Supreme Court, then you are creating a court larger than life. And then when they come up with decisions which you don't like, you say they are expanding their territory. Of course, they are expanding their territory. Is it right? No, it's not right. The judges must resist the temptation to do so. But the fact is you are putting the temptation there," Mr Salve added.

'Needle Moving Towards Negotiation': S Jaishankar On Russia-Ukraine War

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday gave a stern reply to the 'criticism' on India's purchase of Russian oil, while strongly asserting that the world is realising the need to be at the negotiating table to resolve the nearly three-year long Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Being asked about getting 'cheap oil' from Russia, Mr Jaishankar in a stern reply said, "I get oil, yes. It is not necessarily cheap. Do you have a better deal?"

Mr Jaishankar was speaking at the 22nd edition of the Doha Forum panel on 'Conflict Resolution in a New Era' where Qatar Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Norway Foreign Minister, Espen Barth Eide were also present.

"Pleased to participate @DohaForumpanel today on the topic "Conflict Resolution in a New Era" in Doha today along with PM & FM@MBA_Al Thani_of Qatar and FM @EspenBarthEide of Norway. As the conflicts around us increase, the need of the hour is more diplomacy, not less," he stated in a post on X.

Speaking on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Mr Jaishankar reiterated India's stance that the situation can only be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy, and not on the battlefield.

"We've always held to the view that this war is not going to be solved on the battlefield. At the end of the day, people are going to return to some kind of negotiating table, the sooner the better. Our effort has been to facilitate that to the extent possible. That has not been the most popular thing, at least in some parts of the world," Mr Jaishankar said at the discussion.

The Foreign Minister further emphasised that the world is accepting the reality of negotiation rather than continuing the war. He further pointed out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Russia and Ukraine, with the aim to encourage a resolution to the conflict.

"I do think today, the needle is moving more towards the reality of the negotiation than the continuation of the war...We are going to Moscow, talking to President Putin, going to Kyiv, engaging President Zelensky, meeting them in other places, trying to see if we can encourage find common threads that can be picked up at some point in time when the circumstances are right to be developed," he said.

Mr Jaishankar, however, also clarified that India does not have a 'peace plan' to resolve the conflict, but holds "honest and transparent" conversations between both parties.

"We're not attempting a peace plan, we're not doing a mediation in that sense. We're doing multiple conversations and are very transparent about telling each party that the end of conversation that this is what we'll tell the other party. We think that at this point of time, the most useful...diplomatically," he said.

He further added that he believed that it was important to bring the Global South's perspective on how they are impacted by the war.

"We also believe in this that we articulate the sentiments and the interests of the global South, 125 other countries who found their fuel costs, food costs, inflation, their fertilizer cost impacted by this war," he said.

Mr Jaishankar is on an official visit to Qatar and Bahrain from December 6-9.

In Bahrain, he will co-chair the 4th India-Bahrain High Joint Commission (HJC) with the Foreign Minister of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. EAM will also participate in the 20th edition of IISS Manama Dialogue in Bahrain on December 8.

Earlier in the day, S Jaishankar met Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani and Minister of State, Ahmed Al Sayed on the sidelines of the Doha Forum.
The leaders were seen shaking hands and holding talks.

"Pleased to meet Qatari Minister of Commerce & Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani and MoS Ahmed Al Sayed on the sidelines of the Doha Forum today," Mr Jaishankar stated in a post on X.

PCB Accepts Hybrid Model But ICC's Twist Not Good News For BCCI And India

On Thursday night, a report by news agency PTI quoting sources, claimed that the Jay Shah-led International Cricket Council (ICC) and its member associations have "agreed in principle" to go ahead with a hybrid model of hosting the Champions Trophy 2025. However, there was a catch. A similar 'hybrid model' of hosting will be used in all ICC events till 2027. The 2025 Champions Trophy is to be held in February-March next year. The report quoted a top ICC source and said the decision was more or less finalised during an informal meeting between the body's new President Jay Shah and the Board of Directors, including Pakistan, at its headquarters in Dubai on Thursday.

Pakistan, while withdrawing its boycott threat and agreeing to go hybrid in the previous ICC meet last week, had demanded a reciprocal arrangement for itself till 2031. However, the ICC has agreed to a hybrid model for all its events till 2027.

"It's been agreed in principle by all parties that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held in the UAE and Pakistan with India playing its matches in Dubai. It's a win-win situation for all stakeholders," the ICC source told PTI.

However, it may not be seen as a 'win-win' for the BCCI by all.

From the period of 2025 till 2027, India will be hosting the women's ODI World Cup in October this year and the 2026 men's T20 World Cup jointly with Sri Lanka.

Given the hosting arrangement, Pakistan would not have been compelled to travel to India if they had insisted against it in 2026 even if a hybrid model was not in place. If the above-mentioned report is true, then India will not be able to play its marquee match against Pakistan at home, which may be seen as a big dampener by many fans.

It would be unprecedented if an Indian team has to travel to another country for playing its 'home' match while it is the sole host of an ICC event.

"During the 2026 men's T20 World Cup, Pakistan will play its matches in Sri Lanka. The compensation demanded by PCB for the Champions Trophy hybrid model is still under consideration," the source told PTI.

Agreeing to this arrangement means that the Indian women's team will have to travel to a neutral venue to play their league match against Pakistan, should that be necessitated by the schedule which is yet to come out.

India have not toured Pakistan since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, which killed more than 150 people. Their last bilateral engagement was back in 2012.

Their latest refusal to travel has been blamed on security concerns and the ICC has stated more than once that it does not expect any member board to go against government travel advisories.

Who Is Hannah Kobayashi, Photographer, Now Declared 'Voluntarily Missing'

A Hawaiian photographer, who vanished en route to what she described as a "bucket list" vacation in New York City, has fled to Mexico to "disconnect" from the modern world, authorities said. Hannah Kobayashi, 30, was last heard from after she missed a connecting flight at Los Angeles International Airport on November 8. A few days later, her family reported her missing when they received strange and cryptic text messages suggesting someone had stolen her identity.

On Monday, the Los Angeles Police Department declared Ms Kobayashi a "voluntary missing person," confirming she was seen crossing into Mexico on her own accord. But her family insists the search is not over.

What we know about Hannah Kobayashi

Hannah Kobayashi is a 30-year-old photographer from Maui, Hawaii. She is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about 63.5 kg, has brown hair and hazel eyes, a knife tattoo on her forearm, and freckles on her face, as per the LA Times.

An artist, she often shared mandala and geometric art on her Instagram account.

She went missing after failing to board a connecting flight from LA to New York City. She was travelling to spend time with an aunt in upstate New York and planned to photograph a show in Brooklyn on November 13.

After missing her flight, she was seen at the Taschen bookstore near The Grove in Los Angeles on November 9 from where she sent a photo of a book to a relative. She also attended an event at the Nike store on November 10 and posted a black-and-white photo on Instagram. Her family believes she was staying around The Grove, a popular tourist area.

On November 11, surveillance footage showed her boarding a Metro train with an unidentified person and exiting at the Pico station around 10 pm. The family is concerned as this station is not near any hotels.

Her father, Ryan Kobayashi, travelled to Los Angeles to search for his daughter. After nearly two weeks of searching, Mr Ryan was found dead on November 18, having died by suicide. The family described his loss as a "devastating tragedy".

Her sister, Sydni, has set up a GoFundMe campaign to support her family. It has so far raised over USD 47,629 (over Rs 40 lakh).

Musk Reveals What He Discussed With Barron Trump At Thanksgiving Dinner

Billionaire Elon Musk has revealed what he and Barron Trump discussed while celebrating Thanksgiving at Mar-a-Lago. US President-elect Donald Trump hosted a lavish Thanksgiving dinner at his Flordia home, alongside family and special guests including Tesla and SpaceX owner Elon Musk and his mother, Maye Musk. Several videos surfaced from the night, in which the Musks were seen sharing the same table as Mr Trump, his wife Melania, and their youngest son, Barron. The clip went viral and left many speculating what the VIP guests were discussing during the event.

One X user jokingly shared a screenshot of Mr Trump speaking with Barron, with a mocked conversation. "'Is it okay if I'm friends with Elon?' 'I'll allow it, Father,'" the caption of the post read. Mr Musk replied to the tweet, saying he had been talking to the president-elect's son about "consciousness and video games".

Mr Musk's mother, Maye, also joined the conversation and wrote, "They were talking all night. Barron is very smart."

The Musk family presence at Mr Trump's Thanksgiving celebration added a special touch to the family gathering, which also featured a moment when Mr Musk was seen grooving to the 'YMCA' song while seated alongside the president-elect. The clip captured Mr Trump playfully tapping Mr Musk on the shoulder, prompting the billionaire to raise his hand and move to the beat.

"Hope you had a great Thanksgiving," Mr Musk later posted on X.

At the event, the billionaire was also spotted spending time with actor Sylvester Stallone. "I was telling @TheSlyStallone that I just watched Demolition Man again and how well it predicted the crazy woke future 30 years ago!" Mr Musk wrote on X, referring to the movie that stars Stallone.

"I Won't Break Down.": BTS V's Cryptic Post Amid Min Hee Jin Controversy

BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, recently shared a cryptic post on his Instagram Stories that has sparked curiosity among fans. The post featured a cat illustration with the Korean message, which roughly translates to, "You're overthinking it again. Things will be fine." Adding the caption, V wrote, “I got it, Teacher Cat. I won't break down.” The timing of this post has drawn attention as it coincides with an ongoing controversy involving BTS' label HYBE and Min Hee Jin, the former CEO of ADOR, a HYBE subsidiary. While V did not directly reference the issue, fans speculate that his message might subtly reflect the recent events.

See the post here:

Latest and Breaking News on NDTV

V found himself drawn into the ongoing HYBE vs Min Hee Jin controversy after the former ADOR CEO made comments about him during a live broadcast. Min Hee Jin mentioned that V had contacted her via calls and texts during his military service and even wished her a happy birthday early in the morning. Since military trainees in South Korea typically have limited access to their phones, her remarks sparked speculation about whether V might have violated military regulations.

People accused V of receiving preferential treatment in the military, and a legal complaint was even lodged against the BTS member.

As per an English Jagran report, V was cleared of the accusations following an investigation by the South Korean military. The military clarified that trainees can use their phones for up to an hour each day during designated rest periods, such as weekends and public holidays. They confirmed that V adhered to these guidelines and only used his phone during the designated afternoon hours, not in the morning as claimed by Min Hee Jin. There was no evidence that V had violated any rules or received preferential treatment during his time in the military. As per South Korea's data protection regulations, V's personal information was kept private, and the specifics of his calls and communications were not disclosed.

Despite this clarification, the matter has garnered a lot of attention from fans, with some even questioning the accuracy of Min Hee Jin's claims. A prominent personality in the K-pop scene, Min Hee Jin is directly linked to the success of the up-and-coming group NewJeans. She served as CEO of ADOR, a HYBE subsidiary that oversees the group. Amid the power struggle in the company, HYBE has accused Min Hee Jin of trying to distance ADOR from its parent label. At the same time, Min Hee Jin has levelled plagiarism accusations against HYBE's other subsidiary company, Belift Lab.

Meanwhile, BTS' V will be discharged from the military on June 10, 2025. The septet is expected to make a group comeback in the same year.

"Waited For 10 Hours": Germany Goes Nuts For Viral Pistachio Chocolate

When Ali Fakhro lays out a row of pistachio-filled chocolate bars in the morning at his bakery in Berlin, he knows they will be gone in a matter of hours.

Inspired by the viral success of the crunchy delicacy known as "Dubai chocolate", Fakhro, 32, hunted down a recipe and began making his own version two months ago.

"On the first day I made 20 bars, but they went fast. The next day, I made 50 -- all gone too," he said.

So-called Dubai chocolate was invented in 2021 by British-Egyptian entrepreneur Sarah Hamouda, who is based in Dubai.

The chunky treat consists of a blocky, hand-decorated chocolate bar with various quirky fillings -- the signature flavour being a rich pistachio cream.

The treat went viral when TikTok food influencer Maria Vehera posted a video of herself eating a bar in her car, which has since been viewed more than 100 million times.

The real thing is only available to local customers in limited quantities, but the trend has led to an explosion of copycat versions of the chocolate around the world.

- Queueing in the cold -

Fakhro, who runs Abu Khaled Sweets in Berlin, experimented "several times" with different recipes before finally landing on the right ingredient to give the pistachio cream its famous crunch -- a finely shredded Middle Eastern pastry known as kataifi.

Germans have been scrambling to get their hands on the chocolate with bars selling for over 100 euros ($104) on the internet.

Last week, a 31-year-old man was caught by customs attempting to smuggle 45 kilograms of the sweet treat into Germany from Switzerland.

When Swiss manufacturer Lindt launched its own version of the Dubai chocolate in Germany this month, customers queued for hours in the cold to get their hands on a bar.

At up to 20 euros per bar, the delicacy is far more expensive than your average chocolate bar -- but that didn't seem to be putting anyone off.

"I waited 10 hours. I've been here since midnight just to taste this chocolate," 18-year-old student Leon Faehnle told AFP outside a Lindt shop in Stuttgart.

- 'Easy money' -

Lindt launched the chocolate in Germany with 1,000 numbered bars in 10 shops, a spokesman for the group told AFP, and is planning a similar launch in Austria on November 30.

Dubai chocolate has also been a hit in France, with a version by chocolatier Jeremy Bockel on show at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris earlier this month.

Yannick Burkhard, 21, queued for three hours in Stuttgart to get his hands on the chocolate -- but is not planning to eat any of it himself. Instead, he will sell it on the internet.

"I would never pay that much for this. It's quick and easy money," he said with a smile.

"This bar cost 15 euros, but it can sell for almost 100 euros... There are lots of offers on eBay, up to 300 euros," said a customer who gave his name only as Lucas, 24.

Faehnle had a more wholesome plan for his bars as he exited the shop in Stuttgart beaming with pride at his purchase.

"Now I'm going to go home and share them with my grandparents," he said.

Riddhima Kapoor Reveals Rishi Kapoor's Last Two Wishes

Late actor Rishi Kapoor's daughter Riddhima Kapoor recently revealed what his last two wishes were, during an interview with Zoom. The veteran actor died in 2020 after prolonged illness. Riddhima, who recently made her onscreen debut with the Netflix show Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, got candid during the interview and shared that her father had two wishes before dying - to see Ranbir married and settled in life, and to see the Kapoor family house built and ready.

"His last two wishes were getting Ranbir married and getting the house ready. So the house is almost ready, and Ranbir is married. It was very very emotional for us. I really wish he was here with us but I guess god had other plans," Riddhima shared.

Ranbir is now happily married to Alia Bhatt and the two have a beautiful daughter together, Raha Kapoor. The Kapoor house, on the other hand, is nearing completion.

Riddhima also opened up on Ranbir and Alia's wedding in 2022, sharing her brother's reason behind having a small function. "I had a really big wedding so I didn't have a good time at my wedding at all. My dad wanted to have the biggest wedding, which he did. So Ranbir was like, 'You know what, we have had a big wedding in the family, a big celebration so this time...' And he is a very simple guy. Both Ranbir and Alia are very simple people. So they were like we want to do it very small," she said.

Elaborating how the bride and the groom enjoyed every bit of their wedding and had a lot of fun, Riddhima added, "They said we just want people who matter to us, people who we are in touch with every single day and we want to have a good time ourselves and they did. Both of them were beaming with joy. They have thoroughly enjoyed their wedding and they met everyone, spent time with everyone."

Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives released on Netflix last month. The show that originally started with Mumbai's Bollywood wives, Neelam Kothari, Seema Sajdeh, Maheep Kapoor, and Bhavana Pandey in the first two seasons, introduced three new entrants from Delhi this season - Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Shalini Passi, and Kalyani Saha Chawla.

What Is Impoundment? Trumps New Plan To Control Spending In Second Term

US President-elect Donald Trump is planning to cut federal spending, and one of the methods he may use is impoundment. This little-known presidential power allows the leader to refuse spending funds appropriated by Congress. In line with his recent threat to use recess appointments to bypass Senate approval for his controversial cabinet positions, Trump has a plan to circumvent federal spending as well. If Congress continues to allocate funds to projects, agencies, or departments he opposes, he may use impoundment to withhold those funds.

What is impoundment?

Impoundment, simply put, occurs when the president declines to spend funds that Congress has appropriated. The practice has a long history in US politics, beginning with President Thomas Jefferson in 1803, who chose not to spend money allocated for gunboats to patrol the Mississippi amid negotiations with France for the Louisiana Purchase.

Impoundment became a controversial issue during Richard Nixon's presidency. After his reelection in 1972, Nixon sought to use impoundment to reduce federal spending, halt housing programmes and cut disaster aid. When Congress overrode his veto of the Clean Water Act, he withheld a large portion of the $24 billion allocated to clean municipal sewage systems. These clashes led to the passage of the Impoundment Control Act of 1974, limiting a president's ability to withhold funds for policy reasons. It also led to the creation of the Congressional Budget Office.

Even during his first term, Trump attempted impoundment when he withheld military aid to Ukraine in 2019, using it as leverage to press President Volodymyr Zelensky for an investigation into Joe Biden. This eventually led to Trump's first impeachment. Despite the controversy, the funds were released, and the Government Accountability Office ruled Trump's step as illegal.

Before his reelection, Trump said that reclaiming the power of impoundment would be a priority for his second term, either through legal challenges or by persuading Congress to relinquish some of its spending power. In one video, Trump criticised the Impoundment Control Act of 1974, calling it “not a very good act” and “a blatant violation of the separation of powers.” He vowed to use impoundment to “squeeze the bloated federal bureaucracy for massive savings.”

While Trump may face opposition, even from fellow Republicans, in efforts to cede more power to the executive, he may look to the Supreme Court for support. With the current conservative majority, the Court has recently curtailed the powers of federal agencies, offering a possible opening for Trump to challenge impoundment limits.

Some Republican figures such as Vivek Ramaswamy have proposed the repeal of the Impoundment Control Act entirely. Ramaswamy, who has been tapped by Trump to lead the "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE), advocates for a radical downsizing of the federal government.

Ramaswamy has suggested that a president could reinterpret existing laws to drastically reduce the size of the federal workforce, potentially firing up to 75 per cent of federal employees within four years.

"Dark Moment": Israeli Envoy On World Court's 'Arrest Netanyahu Order'

The International Criminal Court (ICC)'s move to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defence minister Yoav Gallant is a "dark moment" for the court, which acted "without authority" and set a "dangerous precedent", Israel's Ambassador to India Reuven Azar said on Thursday.

In a statement, Mr Azar alleged the world court in The Hague is "serving as a political tool for the most extreme elements working against peace, security and stability in West Asia". The decision to issue the warrants weakens the possibility of reaching a ceasefire deal with those seeking Israel's destruction, he said.

The remarks came hours after ICC issued the warrants of arrest for the two Israeli leaders for "crimes against humanity and war crimes committed from at least 8 October 2023 until at least 20 May 2024". The court also issued a similar warrant for Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif.

Israel said in early August it had killed Deif in an air strike in southern Gaza in July, but Hamas has not confirmed his death. Israel is currently engaged in a conflict with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The ICC has no power to enforce its warrants but technically, any country that has signed the Rome Statute - a treaty that seeks to prosecute individuals accused of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression - would be obliged to arrest Mr Netanyahu, Mr Gallant, or Mr Deif, if they travelled there.

"The ICC acted without authority against the elected leaders of a democracy which is not a member of the court. It's a dangerous precedent," Mr Azar said.

"These are warrants directed not only personally against our leaders. In fact, this is an attack on Israel's right to defend itself. The decision is a moral deficiency that turns good into bad and serves evil. The decision harms the ability of a democracy to fight terrorism," he added.

Mr Azar also said that the world court "completely ignores Israel's actions according to international law to facilitate humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian needy population and its outstanding actions to minimise civilian casualties despite despicable tactics used by the terrorists, including using civilians as human shields."

"As a democracy, Israel has a strong legal system that is capable, able and willing to check the actions of its government. We call all our friends to publicly reject this injustice," he said.

On October 7 last year, Hamas militants conducted a cross-border raid on Israel that killed 1,206 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally of Israeli official figures. Israel has since then been fighting a war in Gaza, which the militant group rules.

Israel, however, has faced growing international criticism over its conduct of the Gaza war, including from its allies, despite global solidarity with the victims of October 7.

The Hamas government's health ministry in the Gaza Strip said on Thursday that at least 44,056 people have been killed in more than 13 months of war.

Hezbollah, the powerful Iran-backed Lebanese militant group, began firing rockets into Israel in October last year in stated support of Hamas.

After nearly a year of limited exchanges of fire on the Israel-Lebanon border, Israel in September this year intensified its air strikes primarily targeting Hezbollah strongholds and later sent ground troops into Lebanon.

Netanyahu Makes Rare Gaza Visit, Says "Hamas Will Never Rule Again"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a rare visit to Gaza on Tuesday where he said Hamas shall never rule the Palestinian enclave again once the war is over. He also reaffirmed his pledge to annihilate the militant group and said that the Israeli armed forces have destroyed Hamas's military capabilities thoroughly.

Mr Netanyahu, seen in a battle vest and a ballistic helmet, stood at a seaside location in Gaza and recorded a video where he said "Hamas shall not return" and spoke about the Israeli hostages still in captivity.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the search for the remaining 101 Israeli hostages still missing in Gaza will continue. He even offered a $5 million reward for the return of each hostage.

He then went on to warn the terrorists by saying "Anyone who dares to harm our hostages will have blood on their head. We will hunt you down and get you."

Mr Netanyahu also said that "Whoever brings us a hostage will find a safe way. So, the choice is yours, but the result will be the same. We'll get them all back."

Benjamin Netanyahu was visiting Gaza to get a first-hand briefing of operational activities on ground by Israel's military. The Defence Minister and Army chief had accompanied him.

Hamas's 2023 attack on Israel marked the country's bloodiest day in its history, with 1,200 people killed and over 250 taken hostage. The attack, which triggered the over-year-long war so far, saw Israel respond with its most destructive offensive in Gaza ever, killing nearly 44,000 people and wounding 103,898, according to the Gaza health ministry, and turning the Strip into a wasteland of rubble with millions desperate for food, fuel, water and sanitation.

Israel, which has since the beginning of the war, targeted and killed several top Hamas leaders, has vowed to destroy the group entirely. While Israel and its Western allies have declared Hamas a terrorist group, Lebanon-based Hezbollah and Iran have been supporting it in its activities.

Hamas's supporters regard them as heroes leading the fight for Palestinian statehood, which had drifted off the international agenda.

"Wanders Off...": Russian Media Mocks Biden For Avoiding Ukraine Question

US President Joe Biden, who is in Brazil to attend the G-20 Summit, announced a multimillion-dollar plan to "reforest the Amazon" on Sunday. Biden held a press conference in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil's Manaus, where he talked about conservation and the investments his administration has made in clean energy infrastructure. But, the US president took no questions about the United States's just-announced decision to clear Ukraine to use long-range American missiles to strike inside Russia in a major escalation of the conflict.

Following this, RT, the Russian state-controlled international news television network, posted a video of the US President appearing to "wander off" into the Amazon rainforest, on X (formally Twitter) and asked, "Where you going Joe?"

The clip showed outgoing US president Biden standing at a podium in a loose-fitting blue outdoor shirt and sunglasses. He suddenly turns, waves, and appears to walk right into the forest, rather than following the path in front of him.

"Biden finishes press conference, answers no questions, wanders off into the Amazon Jungle,"  the Russian state media portal said in the post on X.

This was the second post on RT's X handle in the last 24 hours, which seemed to be mocking Mr Biden's decision, giving the green signal to Kyiv to use American missiles against military targets inside Russia.

Earlier on Sunday, RT posted a screen grab of a media article on the Biden administration's big move. A graphics interchange format (gif) image of a smiling US President was superimposed on the article. Posting the graphic, RT wrote, "Joe Biden planning his final vacation as US president be like".

US Clears Kyiv To Use ATACMS Missiles

Acting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's long-standing demand for authorisation to use the powerful Army Tactical Missile System-known by its initials ATACMS-the Biden administration has lifted restrictions on Kyiv's use of long-range missiles, allowing it to hit targets inside Russia.

The move, which came weeks before Mr Biden left office, has angered the Kremlin. Accusing the US of "throwing oil on the fire", Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the decision would mean Washington's direct involvement in the conflict.

Though there has been no official comment on the issue from the White House and incoming President Donald Trump, Mr Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, said: "The military-industrial complex seems to want to make sure they get World War III going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives."

President-elect Trump, who is set to take office on January 20, repeatedly pledged during his election campaign to negotiate an end to the Ukraine war.

McGrath Brands Kohli "Emotional", Fires Big Warning Ahead Of Aus Tests

The last few months have been quite tough for Virat Kohli. After a string of poor performances, Kohli decided to hang his boots in the shortest format. However, runs haven't been flowing from his bat effortlessly in the longer formats too. The top-order batter really struggled against New Zealand in the 3-match series that India lost 0-3. His struggles have been quite visible in the net sessions and practice games as well, ahead of the start of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in Perth.

Amid the chatter around his form, Australia legend Glenn McGrath feels a couple of low scores on the Australia tour could see Virat sink even lower in terms of form.

"If they go hard at him, if he gets in the fight with emotions, there's a bit of chat out there, who knows he might sort of lift," McGrath told CODE Sports' Daniel Cherny.

"But I think he's probably under pressure a little bit, and if he has a couple of low scores to start with, he could really feel it.

"I think he's quite an emotional player. When he's up, he's up, and when he's down, he sort of struggles a little bit."

Team India is undoubtedly under pressure after the 0-3 hammering received in the home Test assignment against New Zealand. McGrath expects Australia to put India under pressure right from the first ball and test their nerves to come out of the rut they are presently in.

"Without a doubt, especially after coming off a 3-0 loss against New Zealand, you've got plenty of ammunition to back yourself up," McGrath asserted

"So put the pressure on them and see if they're up for it."

Even India's practice sessions haven't gone as planned in Australia, with top batters like Kohli, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, etc struggling to put runs on the board.

Was Tyson vs Paul Fight Fixed? 'Leaked Script' On Social Media Suggests...

The highly anticipated fight between the boxing legend Mike Tyson and the popular YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, ended with the latter clinching the win. Paul rose to the occasion and beat the 58-year-old in the bout, which lasted eight rounds at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Paul was clearly the better of the two fighters as Mike Tyson was slow in his reflex. A few hours before this blockbuster fight, the fans were taken aback after a fake script of the match surfaced on social media.

As per the viral script, the match between the duo was supposed to end with Paul knocking out Tyson in the fifth round.

However, the fans witnessed a thrilling battle between the two as the match ended in the eighth round with Paul winning 79-73 by the unanimous decision.

Paul, 27, used his superior speed and movement to dominate the ageing Tyson with ease, and had the former undisputed heavyweight champion in trouble after landing a flurry of punches in the third round.

Tyson, however, looked every bit of his 58 years, managing to land only a handful of meaningful punches during the fight.

Final statistics showed Tyson connected with just 18 of 97 punches thrown while Paul threw some 278 punches and landed 78 of them.

As the final seconds of the eighth round counted down, Paul could even afford to bow in respect to Tyson before the bell sounded.

Now, a major talking point ahead of the match was how much money the boxers would make from the fight. According to several reports, the total prize money of the match was $60 million. According to Forbes, Jake Paul will get $40 million (approximately Rs 338 crore) and Mike Tyson will get $20 million (approximately Rs 169 crore).

Who Is Imsha Rehman, Pakistani TikTok Star Caught In Video Leak Scandal

Pakistan-based TikTok influencer Imsha Rehman has deactivated her social media accounts after her private videos were circulated online without her consent. The videos, allegedly showing Ms Rehman in a compromising position, have since gone viral, triggering a social media storm in the conservative country. Rehman has been facing criticism and intense scrutiny from all quarters which prompted her to wipe out her social media footprint, at least temporarily. Rehman has become the latest Pakistani influencer to have had her private videos leaked online.

Who is Imsha Rehman?

Born on October 7, 2002, in Lahore, Ms Rehman is one of the biggest social media influencers in Pakistan -- commanding a legion of followers on Instagram and TikTok. She started her social media journey by sharing fishing and lifestyle content before transitioning to down-to-earth and relatable content on the short video platform, TikTok.

As of the last update, Rehman had over 111,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 200,000 followers on TikTok - the Chinese app owned by ByteDance.

Imsha Rehman responds to controversy

As the controversy surrounding her explicit videos snowballed, Ms Rahman posted a brief statement before going offline. "The backlash has been overwhelming", she wrote. As per Pakistani media reports, the videos were released after hackers managed to gain access to her accounts.

A screenshot shared by The Express Tribune showed Ms Rehman's TikTok page where she had changed the bio to, "Jab tak video viral hai maine ne ID off kar di hai (Till the time video is viral, I have deactivated my account)."

Previous instance

This is not the first instance when a Pakistani social media influencer has had their online privacy breached. Minahil Malik, a popular social media personality and TikTok star had also quit social media after an intimate video of her with her boyfriend leaked online. She claimed the video was "fake" and lodged a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

However, Malik faced intense trolling since social media users accused her of intentionally leaking the video. Pakistani actress Mishi Khan released a video in which she criticised influencers for "stooping to the lowest level" for fame. She did not directly name Malik, but the references were said to be directed towards her.

Key Government Agency To Probe Ola Electric Over Product Issues

India's top product certification agency will investigate e-scooter maker Ola Electric's deficiency in service standards and product issues, India's consumer affairs secretary told Reuters on Thursday.

Last month, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) sent Ola Electric a notice seeking an explanation from the SoftBank-backed company after the consumer rights agency received an unusually high 10,000 complaints.

Ola, India's top e-scooter maker, responded that it had resolved 99.1% of the complaints.

After reviewing that response, the CCPA has now asked the Bureau of Indian Standards to conduct a detailed investigation into the matter, consumer affairs secretary Nidhi Khare said on Thursday.

Ola Electric did not immediately respond to a Reuters email seeking comment.

The complaints were mostly for "minor" issues, Ola's founder Bhavish Aggarwal said on an earnings call last week.

"Two-thirds of it actually are just minor issues like loose parts or customers unfamiliar with the software used," Aggarwal said.

The rising complaints and ensuing regulatory scrutiny have cast a shadow on the e-scooter maker, following its stellar market debut in August.

Ola Electric's shares are down about 7.6% from their listing price of 76 rupees. On the day, its shares were down about 1%, while auto stocks had risen 0.5%.

"Combining Indian Hospitality With Swiss Quality": CEO On New Noida Airport

The National Capital Region is set to get its second major airport in April next year and with the first trial flights scheduled a few days from now at the Noida International Airport - also known as the Jewar airport - NDTV has got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the frenetic construction activity at the project site as well as details of its design, connectivity and projected passenger numbers.

NDTV also spoke exclusively to Noida International Airport CEO Christoph Schnellmann, who said their aim is to provide a passenger experience that combines Indian warmth and hospitality with Swiss quality and efficiency.

The airport is being developed by the Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a subsidiary of Swiss firm Zurich Airport International AG, in association with the Noida International Airport Limited, which is the implementing agency on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government.

Located in Jewar in Western UP's Gautam Buddha Nagar district, the airport is scheduled to see its first trial flights taking off and touching down in a few days, which will be an important milestone not only in the airport's development schedule but also in the story of the growth of Indian aviation. The airport was necessary given that the Indian aviation market has seen a compounded annual growth rate of 8.9% in the decade between 2013 and 2023 and because the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi has reached its growth potential.

Design Influences

Mr Schnellmann said design has been a key focus for the company since the project began around five years ago. Local materials have been used and one of the standout design choices is the flight of steps at the terminal's forecourt, which will resemble the ghats of Varanasi and Haridwar. Reflecting a focus on a climate change-friendly approach, the airport will also use natural lighting and ventilation to reduce its environmental footprint and energy costs.

"We are incredibly excited about the experience we are going to be able to offer our passengers. We talk about combining Indian warmth and hospitality with Swiss quality and efficiency. I think we have been very deliberate about designing the terminal (by) picking up elements of the rich architectural heritage of the region... An airport that is very much at home in north India, in Western UP. The commercial space will feature a large open-air courtyard reminiscent of some of the 'havelis' (traditional houses) found in the region," the CEO said.

The airport has also been planned as a gateway to tourist destinations in North India, including the Taj Mahal, and for Hindu pilgrimages like the Chardham Yatra, Kumbh Mela, Mathura and Vrindavan as well as the Buddhist circuit of Sravasti, Kapilavastu and Kushinagar.

Number-Crunching

The total area of the project is 1,334 hectares and, in its first phase, 1.2 crore passengers are expected to use the airport every year. The number is projected to increase to 3 crore by the end of the decade and 7 crore a few years after that.

One runway will be operational initially and, when it opens, the terminal will have 10 aerobridges and three bus gates. There will eventually be two operational runways and while the airport will have 28 spots for aircraft in the apron area initially, this will expand to 200 as the flights and passenger count increase.

Mr Schnellmann said that the terminal is being built keeping this expansion in mind.

"The pier can expand to the west to provide further passenger capacity. The building has also been designed in such a manner that it can be mirrored to the east," he said.

Road, Rail Links

The airport is connected to Greater Noida, Noida and Delhi via the signal-free Yamuna Expressway. Leaving from Saket at 11 am on Tuesday, it took about an hour and 45 minutes to reach the airport by road. Once an interchange is built from the airport to the expressway, it will take approximately 45 minutes from Noida and 25 minutes from Greater Noida, according to Mr Schnellmann.

The CEO said the UP government is also planning a rail link directly to the airport, construction on which will begin in a year or so.

Trump Speaks To Putin, Urges Him To Not Escalate War In Ukraine: Report

US President-elect Donald Trump has spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin and urged him not to escalate the war in Ukraine, the Washington Post reported Sunday.

Trump held the call from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Thursday, just days after his stunning election victory over Democratic rival Kamala Harris, the report said.

The president-elect's representatives did not immediately respond when asked by AFP for comment.

The Post, citing several people familiar with the call who spoke on the basis of anonymity, reported that Trump had reminded Putin of America's sizable military presence in Europe.

They said he also expressed an interest in further conversations to discuss "the resolution of Ukraine's war soon."

Trump's election is seen as carrying the potential to upend the almost three-year Ukraine conflict, as he insists on a quick end to the fighting and casts doubt on Washington's multi-billion dollar support for Kyiv.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with Trump on Wednesday, with the Republican's billionaire backer Elon Musk also notably joining them on the call.

Zelensky described the call as "excellent," saying that he and Trump had agreed to "maintain close dialogue and advance our cooperation."

The outgoing Democratic administration of President Joe Biden has confirmed that it will send as much aid as possible to Ukraine before Trump's inauguration on January 20.

On Sunday, Biden's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said the White House aims "to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position on the battlefield so that it is ultimately in the strongest possible position at the negotiating table."

This would include using the remaining $6 billion of funding for Ukraine available, Sullivan said.

'Losing your allowance'

The Russian government has given a cautious but mostly positive response to Trump's return, with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov saying Sunday: "The signals are positive... At least he's talking about peace, and not about confrontation."

During his campaign, Trump repeatedly vowed to quickly end the Ukraine war -- even before he is sworn into office -- but without detailing his thinking.

Trump and his allies have railed against US funding for Ukraine, while insinuating that it helps fund a corrupt pro-war nexus of defense companies and foreign policy hawks.

Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., shared a clip Saturday on Instagram which showed Zelensky standing next to the president-elect with a caption reading: "POV (point of view): You're 38 days from losing your allowance."

Any quick deal in Ukraine is expected to require Kyiv to cede some of the territory it has lost to Russian invaders in Ukraine's south and east.

A former adviser to Trump, Bryanb Lanza, told the BBC on Saturday that Ukraine had to give up any ambition on regaining Crimea, for instance, which was occupied by Russia in 2014.

He said the US priority was for "peace and to stop the killing", although the Trump transition team clarified that he was not speaking on behalf of the president-elect.

Kyiv, though facing a manpower shortage and uncertainty over US support, has steadfastly opposed giving up territory and its European allies and weapons suppliers such as Britain and France are known to be nervous about unilateral moves by Trump.

Zelensky has said that giving up land or meeting other demands from the Kremlin would only embolden the Kremlin and provoke more aggression, a view shared by many European allies.

Trump "briefly raised the issue of land" in his call with Putin, the Post reported, without further details.

In recent months, both sides in the war have made moves seen as possible efforts to gain leverage ahead of eventual negotiations, with Ukraine seizing a chunk of Russian territory and Moscow's troops making advances in Ukraine.

This weekend brought the biggest drone attacks yet from both sides.

Russia fired 145 drones at Ukraine overnight, Zelensky said, while Russia said it had downed 34 Ukrainian drones targeting Moscow on Sunday.

Grammy Nominations 2025: Big Snubs For K-Pop. Internet Is Furious

The 2025 Grammy Award nominees were announced on Friday. Beyonce led the pack with 11 nominations for her album Cowboy Carter, surpassing Taylor Swift and other notable artists. What shocked fans was the total exclusion of K-pop artists and acts from the nominations, despite their global influence and massive success over the past year. K-pop fans had hoped to see acts like BTS, BLACKPINK's Lisa, Stray Kids, Seventeen and others making to the list, but were left disappointed as K-pop artists were entirely absent from the main categories.

Several K-pop stars had submitted work for consideration. BLACKPINK member Lisa, for instance, had hoped to secure nominations for her song New Woman in the categories of Record of the Year and Song of the Year, along with Best New Artist and Best Pop Solo Performance for her track Rockstar. Stray Kids also submitted their album Ate for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, while their track Chk Chk Boom was considered for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Though no Korean band was nominated, there were a few indirect connections to the K-pop scene in the nominations. Aespa contributed to Djesse Vol. 4, an album by Jacob Collier that received a nod for Album of the Year, while Stray Kids were featured on the Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack, which was nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Additionally, BTS member Jungkook was mentioned in Usher's track Coming Home from his album, which was nominated for Best R&B Song.

This snub led to disappointment and frustration among fans, particularly as many felt that K-pop artists, who continue to break records and enjoy global success, deserved more "recognition". "Jungkook is the most overlooked artist in the music industry," one fan vented on social media, referencing the lack of nominations for his hit songs. Another questioned the Grammy nomination process, asking whether the voters truly considered the submissions or if they simply "favoured" the same artists each year. "Well, what we expected from racist Grammys," a user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

To date, BTS remains the only K-pop group to have received direct nominations at the Grammys, earning five nominations over the past three years, although they have yet to win in any category. ICYDK, K-pop fans have long accused the Grammys of using BTS members' popularity to increase viewership without truly recognising the group's accomplishments or the contributions of other K-pop artists.
