UP's rat-eating Musahars battle starvation, death

Starvation has always haunted the Mahadalit community of Musahars, that depends on rats as primary source of food. A spate of recent deaths in the community, allegedly linked to hunger, have largely gone unnoticed. However, state government officials insist that the deaths have nothing to do with hunger.
