Relax marks bar for SC/STs to become trial judges, says CJI Gogoi

Kerala high court could not find a single candidate from the reserved category who scored minimum percentage of marks required for appointment as judicial officers in trial courts. For the preliminary examination, HC had fixed 35% as qualifying marks and 40% for the main examination. CJI said that for reserved category, HCs can relax minimum percentage.
