Centre returns names of two high court CJs mooted for Supreme Court

Centre has asked the Supreme Court collegium to reconsider the names of Jharkhand HC Chief Justice Aniruddha Bose and Gauhati HC CJ AS Bopanna for appointment as judges of the SC. Supreme Court sources said the Centre had not raised objection relating to integrity of the two CJs and the reservations mainly centred on their lack of seniority in the all-India judges' list.
