Jagan takes Andhra, Patnaik retains Odisha

BJD beats anti-incumbency in Odisha to lead in 98 and win 14 out of 146 seats, though BJP was leading in 22 Assembly seats. Naveen Patnaik becomes the third chief minister to get a 5th straight term. Jaganmohan Reddy will replace Chandrababu Naidu as CM after winning 93 and leading in 57 out of 175 seats. Naidu’s TDP is virtually wiped out, and his national plans are in ruins.
