2 Independents withdraw support from HDK govt

On Monday, 2 ministers and independent MLAs — H Nagesh and R Shankar — withdrew their support to Congress-JD(S) government in Karnataka. If Speaker accepts the resignations of the rebel MLAs, the ruling coalition's tally will be reduced to 103. With support of 2 independents, numbers for government formation favour BJP which now has 107 MLAs in the 224-member House.
