Shefali Jariwala Laid To Rest At Mumbai's Oshiwara Crematorium
Shefali Jariwala has been laid to rest at Mumbai's Oshiwara Crematorium. Her father, brother, and husband performed her last rites as per Hindu traditions.
For the unversed, this is the same place where Sidharth Shukla's final rites took place back in 2021. Shefali and Sidharth were seen together in the thirteenth season of the reality show Bigg Boss.

Instagram/Viral Bhayani
Shefali and Hindustani Bhau had formed a close bond during their time in the Bigg Boss house. In fact, she even used to tie rakhi to him.
Earlier, when Hindustani Bhau visited the RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital where Shefali was taken post her demise, he addressed the media saying, “She was like my family. More than a sister, she was my child".
A lot of members from the fraternity were present at the funeral to pay their last respects.
Shefali passed away on the night of June 27 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Official confirmation to be out with postmortem reports.
When her husband took her to the hospital, she was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Minister of State for Home Affairs, Yogesh Kadam assured a thorough investigation into the sudden death of the 42-year-old actress.
Speaking to IANS, he shared, “The police have gathered information, and the investigation is ongoing. If there is any foul play or if any complaint is received, we will definitely examine that angle and conduct a thorough inquiry. We cannot speculate at this stage, but if there is any doubt, action will be taken.”
Additionally, police have also recorded the statements of eight people in the matter including statements of the family members, servants and the doctor at Bellevue Hospital.
While the initial reports suggest that Shefali might have suffered a heart attack, the official cause of death is yet to be shared by the doctors who performed the postmortem.

'Fighting Will Stop Once...': Netanyahu On Israel-Iran Conflict
Israel is very close to completing its goal of removing the dual threats of Iran's ballistic missiles and nuclear programme, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday.
He promised not to let Israel be dragged into a war of attrition but also said he would not end the Iran campaign prematurely.
"We won't pursue our actions beyond what is needed to achieve them, but we also won't finish too soon. When the objectives are achieved, then the operation is complete and the fighting will stop," he told Israeli reporters.
"I have no doubt that this is a regime that wants to wipe us out, and that's why we embarked on this operation to eliminate the two concrete threats to our existence: the nuclear threat, the ballistic missile threat. We are moving step by step towards achieving these goals. We are very, very close to completing them," he said.
He said Iran's Fordow nuclear site had been very badly damaged by U.S. bunker-buster bombs overnight but the extent of damage remained to be seen. Tehran has vowed to defend itself at all costs.
Asked about the whereabouts of Iran's 60% enriched uranium, Netanyahu said: "We've been following that very closely. I can tell you that it's an important component of a nuclear programme.
"It's not the sole component. It's not a sufficient component. But it is an important component and we have interesting intel on that, which you will excuse me if I don't share with you," he said.
At least until Israel's first strikes against its enrichment installations on June 13, Iran was refining uranium to up to 60% purity, a short step from the roughly 90% that is bomb-grade and far higher than the 3.67% cap imposed by a 2015 nuclear deal, which Iran respected until the year after US President Donald Trump pulled out in 2018.

Telegram CEO Says He'll Leave Fortune To 100 Kids Born Via Sperm Donation
Telegram founder Pavel Durov has revealed plans to divide his nearly $20 billion fortune among 100 children he fathered through sperm donations. According to Durov, this arrangement is detailed in his will, which also includes provisions for his six children with three partners.
Durov, known for his conflicts with the Kremlin over free speech issues, was charged last year by French authorities for allegedly allowing illegal activities like sex abuse and drug trafficking on his encrypted messaging platform, charges he denies.
The billionaire shared these details in an interview with France's Le Point magazine, explaining that the 100 children were born across 12 countries over the past 15 years through sperm donations.
When asked about the role of family in his life, Pavel Durov emphasised its great importance. He recently wrote his will, deciding that his children will not have access to his fortune for 30 years. He wants them to live independently, build their paths, and not rely on inheritance. Durov made it clear that he treats all his children equally-both those conceived naturally and those born via sperm donation-and hopes they will remain united after his passing.
Regarding the number of his children, Durov told the news outlet that he is the official father of six children from three different partners. Additionally, through anonymous sperm donations, he began fifteen years ago to help a friend, and more than 100 babies have been conceived across 12 countries, according to the clinic.
When asked why he wrote his will at just 40, Durov explained that his work defending freedoms involves risks and creates many enemies, including powerful states. He wants to protect both his children and the company he founded, Telegram, ensuring it always remains true to the values he stands for.
On Telegram's future, Durov said a non-profit foundation will take over after him. His goal is to ensure the platform continues independently while upholding privacy and freedom of expression.

Steyn Predicts Outcome Of England vs India Series: "3-2 In Favour Of..."
Team India, under the leadership of a new captain in Shubman Gill, is gearing up for an upcoming five-match Test series against England, starting June 20 in Leeds. Following the Test retirements of stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Gill was appointed captain last month, with Rishabh Pant set to be his deputy. The series marks the first Test for Gill as captain, having recently impressed with his leadership in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Gill and his men are currently taking part in a behind-closed-doors intra-squad match.
Ahead of the first Test in Headingley, Steyn has predicted the series to be a closely contested one, but he backed England to come out on top 3-2.
"All games will be close. But all will have a result. I think it will be 3-2 in favour of England. There will be a result in every Test match. There will be no run away win for any team, all five games will be very close," Steyn said on JioHotstar.
Reflecting on what would be his leadership approach in the Test series against England, Gill said, "Apart from all the silverware and trophies aside, I would ideally like to build a culture where everyone is very secure and happy."
"I know it can be a very difficult environment, especially with all the competition or the number of matches that we play and different squads coming in, but if I am able to do that, that would be my goal," he added.
The upcoming India tour of England marks a significant new chapter for Team India as a fresh squad prepares to take on one of cricket's most challenging assignments in English conditions. Historically, India's success in Test series on English soil has been rare, with the team having won a Test series in England only three times in the past 100 years.
These landmark victories came in 1971, 1986, and 2007, each time under the leadership of a new or first-time captain - Ajit Wadekar in 1971, Kapil Dev in 1986 and Rahul Dravid in 2007 - highlighting the pivotal role of new leadership in these historic triumphs.
India's Test squad for England series: Shubman Gill (c), Rishabh Pant (vc), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Nitish Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav.

"Where Do We Go?" Ahmedabad Crash Strikes Fear In People Living Near Airports
Densely populated pockets are located around airports in many cities across India and Thursday's Ahmedabad plane crash, in which at least 30 people were killed on the ground as well, has got residents worried about a tragedy like that hitting closer home.
Air India Flight 171 - a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner - took off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and could achieve an altitude of merely 625 feet before it began descending and crashed into the complex of the BJ Medical College in Meghani Nagar - an aerial distance of less than two km. Of the 242 people on the plane, 241 were killed and at least 30 others died on the ground.
The airport in Mumbai, which can handle more than 40 flights every hour, is surrounded by slums as well as posh homes, and residents of both say flights taking off sometimes give them the jitters now.
"We are within 1 km of the runway. There is a service road nearby which sees a lot of fish sellers, there are other hawkers selling food items as well. The leftovers are then thrown there, attracting birds," said a resident of an area around the Mumbai airport, implying that the chances of bird hits increase because of this.
"The vibrations from the aircraft also cause damage. Cracks develop in the buildings... we have to spend a lot on maintenance every year," said another resident.
Residents of slums in Vile Parle (East) said they have been living there for decades but were still willing to shift if the government gives them a safer place to stay.
"Of course, we are scared. But we have been living here for over 70 years, where do we go?" said one.
The story is similar in Jaipur, where people living near the airport say the incident in Ahmedabad has shaken them.
"We have been scared since Thursday. The planes take off day and night," a woman said.
Memories Persist
For people living close to the Patna airport, Ahmedabad does not just make them question 'what if', because many of them have lived through a similar disaster and are worried it may happen again.
In July 2000, an Alliance Air Plane had crashed into Gardani Bagh near the airport while landing, killing 60 people, including five on the ground.
"It happened right here," a resident of the area said. "I remember hearing a loud sound. We got scared. We are still a little scared, but what's the point? We have to live here."
At ground zero, in Ahmedabad, the fear is palpable.
A woman who ran a roadside stall near the airport lost her son as the plane crashed. "He was on the main road when the flames got to him. My daughter-in-law has also suffered severe burn injuries," she said.
A resident of Meghani Colony, very close to the airport, said, "When the plane crashed, I thought it was a bomb or an earthquake. If it had hit this area, so many people would have died."
"The plane was really close to our house. One of the wings clipped a tree. The number of people dead would have been much higher if it had landed in this area," said another.

"Brilliant, Disciplined": Professor Remembers Co-Pilot Of Plane That Crashed
"Very difficult for me to digest the news," a professor of Clive Kunder, the co-pilot of the ill-fated Air India Ahmedabad-London flight, broke down as she remembered her "brilliant and disciplined" student.
Professor Urvashi taught Kunder Physics in Class 11 and 12 in Mumbai's Wilson College.
"Clive was very brilliant student, very disciplined, very punctual, intelligent... His work was very neat, clean, very systematic, said Ms Urvashi, who thinks his "disciplined nature made him a successful pilot".
AI-171 crashed minutes after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, killing 241 of the 242 persons on board, including 12 crew members. The plane crashed into the complex of a medical college, killing at least 10 people on the ground.
Ms Urvashi said that she got to know about the tragedy when she watched a report on television about the flight crash. I got to know the "co-pilot was my student Clive".
She said she also spoke to one of Kunder's batchmates about the tragedy. "It was really heartbreaking to talk about him. It's very difficult for me to digest the news also that such a lively young boy wanted to make a career, wanted to live his life very happily, very disciplined, very punctual, very intelligent boy. It was very difficult for me," she said, fighting back tears.
Ms Urvashi said Kunder once told her that he wanted to "do something different".
The aircraft was piloted by Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, a Line Training Captain with 8,200 hours of flying experience, assisted by First Officer Clive Kunder, who had logged 1,100 flying hours.
According to Air Traffic Control (ATC), the aircraft departed Ahmedabad at 1:39 pm IST (0809 UTC) from Runway 23. It issued a MAYDAY call but then ceased responding to subsequent ATC communications, according to a statement from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
A formal investigation has been launched by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) into the deadly crash, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu confirmed on Thursday.

Part-Time Worker Reveals "Scary" Reality Behind Blinkit's 10-Minute Delivery
The rise of quick commerce companies like Blinkit, Instamart, and Zepto has revolutionised the way people shop, making it an integral part of modern life. These platforms promise fast and convenient delivery of groceries and other essentials, often within minutes. However, behind the scenes, the workers who make this convenience possible face significant challenges. A recent Reddit post by a part-time Blinkit worker has exposed the harsh realities behind India's growing demand for 10-minute delivery.
"We all love the idea of getting groceries or snacks delivered in 10 minutes, but most people have no idea what goes on behind that 'ultrafast' service. The pressure on workers is next-level — and honestly, kind of scary," the post on Reddit read.
The worker, who balanced his job as a picker and packer with studies, shared his firsthand experience of intense pressure, frequent accidents, and unsafe working conditions. According to the post, workers are under constant stress, with supervisors exerting "crazy, non-stop pressure" and a timer system called PPI (per picking item) that adds to the strain.
The worker described the warehouses, known as dark stores, as small and cluttered with racks and items. Employees are expected to run, not just walk quickly, while picking orders, navigating through crowded spaces and sharp corners, and racing against time. The worker shared personal experiences of accidents, including a collision with another employee that resulted in a broken phone.
"I've had a few accidents. Once, I collided with another guy and broke my phone. These kinds of things happen almost daily because it's all rush and no safety. We had to follow a timer called PPI (Per Picking Item). If it takes even a few extra seconds to find an item (maybe it's misplaced or out of stock), the manager tells you to log out and go home. The pressure from higher-ups is crazy, and managers just pass it on to the workers," he added.
See the full post here:
Worked part-time at Blinkit — 10-minute delivery sounds cool, but the reality for workers is brutal
byu/Automatic_Demand_802 inindia
Full-time workers affiliated with Blinkit faced even harsher conditions, with the Reddit user highlighting the additional burden of manually unloading two to three large trucks daily and restocking the cold rooms.
The user further revealed that working conditions are unsafe, with workers navigating tight spaces all day, leading to frequent accidents. The environment takes a mental toll, with constant pressure and no respite. There is zero tolerance for delays, and even a small mistake can result in termination. The compensation is inadequate, considering the risks, stress, and treatment workers endure, making the job unsustainable.
"All this effort and stress… just so someone can get a Coke and Maggi in 10 minutes? Not saying convenience is bad. But this system isn't built on efficiency — it's built on pushing workers to their limits. If deliveries took 15 or 20 minutes instead, would that really be so bad? Feels like we're chasing speed without thinking about the people actually doing the work," he added.
The post sparked widespread concern among users, with many expressing shock at the harsh working conditions described. Some suggested they'd willingly wait longer for deliveries if it meant easing the pressure on workers. Others drew comparisons to labour conditions in other industries, questioning the necessity of 10-minute delivery and labelling it a marketing gimmick that prioritises convenience over worker welfare.
One user wrote, "I'd be happy to get the stuff in an hour, to put less pressure on workers - planning isn't that hard, and fostering a culture when anything can be had immediately is not doing us any good as humans. Thank you for raising awareness - unfortunately, little will change imo."
Another commented, "This 10-minute thing is just exploiting India's labour problem, and also taking advantage of the Indian society's collective impatience."
A third said, "Yes, it's dumb, and pressuring workers for some made-up metric I never asked for. What the f do I care if the Swiggy guy takes 10 or 25 minutes, or even more? I want them to drive safely and not feel stressed, and possibly get into an accident where they hurt themselves or someone else. If I need something in 10 minutes, it will be something like dahi, and I can just run down to the shop. Let these people have lives too, they shouldn't constantly have to stress."

"Terrorism Survives On...": Asaduddin Owaisi To NDTV On Op Sindoor Outreach
Asaduddin Owaisi, MP from Hyderabad and member of the government's all-party global outreach delegation on Operation Sindoor, told NDTV today that all four nations he visited have had a taste of terrorism and have close relations not just with Pakistan but India as well. Mr Owaisi was part of Jay Panda's team that went to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Algeria and Bahrain.
Asked about all four nations standing by Pakistan earlier in terms of funding and OIC (the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) vis-a-vis efforts to place Pakistan in the FATF grey list, in an exclusive interview to NDTV, Mr Owaisi said the government would know better regarding that.
"Our responsibility was to put forward in front of all these four countries that terrorism survives on this ideology of which even devil would be shy of accepting it. And secondly, by legal money," he said.
Giving a checklist of the legal funds Pakistan is receiving, which was also placed before the interlocutors from the four nations, Mr Owaisi said Pakistan is getting $2 billion loan from the IMF, and "40 billion they are trying from the World Bank".
"When we went to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we had reminded them that the kingdom had given some 2 billion and now they have extended a loan of 12 billion," he said, questioning where all this money is going.
"Our presentation in front of our interlocutors was that this money is not being monitored. It is going into these core commanders, from core commanders to these terrorist groups, which in turn are killing Indians," he said.
His team, he added, had sought help bringing Pakistan under the FATF grey list as happened in 2018 and 2019.
In this connection, he said he had also recounted Pakistan's U-turn on terrorist Sajid Mir, the main planner of 26/11 attack in Mumbai.
Pakistan had repeatedly claimed that Sajid Mir is dead. But "when this FATF meeting was being held in Germany, immediately Pakistan came up and to the surprise of everyone, not to the Indians, they said, oh, Sajid Mir is alive and he was later convicted," Mr Owaisi said.
"We also reminded them that from 2018 onwards, till 22, Pakistan was on FATF (grey list) and there was a close monitoring on their finances and all the neighboring countries were safe," he said.
"We told them all of us are victims of this terrorism and the best you can do is to ensure Pakistan is brought in FATF. We have nothing against the Pakistani people, but it is the deep state, it is the military and these terror groups who are thriving and being aided and promoted by the Pakistani army over there. They should be controlled," he added.
The 'grey list' of the Financial Action Task Force, a global anti-terror funding agency, includes nations that have fallen short of sticking to key parameters that include combating terror.
New Delhi had earlier expressed disappointment that international agencies transferred billions in "aid" to Islamabad in the aftermath of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam and the subsequent military escalation by the Pakistan Army.

Viral Video: Telugu Actress Kalpika Ganesh's War Of Words With Pub Staff
Telugu actress Kalpika Ganesh, known for films such as HIT: The First Case and Yashoda, had an altercation with the staff of a Hyderabad pub while celebrating her birthday last week. The actress, who turned 34 on May 27, shared a video on social media in which she is seen arguing with the staff over a demand for a complimentary cake.
What
- Kalpika posted a video of the incident on Instagram. In the clip, one of the pub's staff members is heard asking the actor to settle the bill.
- When she refuses to pay, he accuses her of "spoiling her birthday" and purposely badmouthing the outlet.
- In the same clip, Kalpika says that restaurants across the city offer a complimentary birthday cake on their own.
- The staff from the pub accuses the actress of getting a complimentary cake on her tab, adding "We try to do as much as we can".
- The video ends with Kalpika crumpling the bill and throwing it away.
- According to MoneyControl, Kalpika shared the reason behind the altercation in a series of follow-up Instagram Stories. The actress revealed that she was with a physically challenged friend when the pub staff behaved rudely and was verbally abusive towards them.
- An investigation into the matter is underway, reported the website.
Internet's Reaction To The Controversy
Many social media users weren't amused by Kalpika's behaviour.
One of the users pointed out, "Pubs and businesses don't offer things for free, they operate to serve and not as a charity."
Another said, if a missing free cake ruined one's birthday, maybe the problem isn't the pub. "It's the fact that nobody cared enough to bring you one. Stay mad. Imagine dealing with this tantrum over CAKE. Next time, try Domino's...they give free dessert to kids," the user continued.
One of the followers accused her for just telling her side of the story. "... But as I see it's clear that you are making an issue out of something that's very simple, why do you need to expect something for free when it's their business," he added in his comments.
Few took her side in the comments box of her post.
A post read, "We Must See two sides Of Coin. (sic)"
In A Nutshell
Kalpika is in the middle of the controversy which many are claiming is of her own making. The actress got into an argument with the staff of a Hyderabad-based pub over a complimentary cake on her birthday.
