Axar, DC's Tactical Blunders That Helped Abhishek Sharma And SRH Score 242

Abhishek Sharma scythed through a hapless Delhi Capitals bowling attack with a scintillating unbeaten century as Sunrisers Hyderabad posted an imposing 242 for 2 on a placid track in an IPL match on Tuesday. Abhishek (135 not out off 68 balls) was at his imperious best as neither Nitish Rana's off-breaks (0/55 in 4 overs) bothered him nor did Lungi Ngidi's dipping slower ones (0/41 in 4 overs) have any effect on his strokeplay, as he smashed 10 sixes along with an equal number of boundaries.

Even with a relatively off-colour Travis Head (37 off 26 balls) for company, he added 97 runs for the opening stand. Then skipper Ishan Kishan (25 off 13 balls) joined the party, adding another 79 runs for the second wicket in just 5.5 overs to create a perfect launchpad for the final assault.

Towards the end, as Abhishek seemed a bit tired, Heinrich Klaasen chanced his arm to hit a quickfire 37 not out off 13 balls.

Delhi Capitals' ploy of starting with an off-spinner - that too a mediocre part-timer like Nitish Rana (0/55 in 4 overs) - backfired badly, as he was given four overs in which he was hit for half a dozen sixes, all by left-handed batters.

DC Not at Their Tactical Best

The DC coaching staff, headlined by Director of Cricket Venugopal Rao and head coach Hemang Badani, have not exactly been at their tactical best throughout the tournament, and Tuesday was one such occasion. Rana bowled a tidy first over, but the second went for 20, and after the strategic time-out, he was again given two more overs, one of which went for 23.

Even skipper Axar Patel (1/23 in 2 overs) will have some answering to do as to why, as a frontline spinner, he did not complete his quota and why Kuldeep Yadav (0/30 in 2 overs) was not trusted after one bad over (22 runs), while someone like Rana was persisted with.

In all, the two-and-a-half spinners (the half being Rana) used by DC went for 108 runs in their combined eight overs.

The Powerplay yielded 67 runs, but DC completely lost the plot during the middle phase between overs 7 and 15, in which 116 runs were conceded - an unacceptable return.

The hallmark of Abhishek's innings was how he adjusted the downswing of his bat depending on the bowler, especially Ngidi, whom he played late and in front of the wicket. It seemed Abhishek was in the mood to exhibit his range-hitting skills, with most of his sixes struck in front of the wicket.

It was a slightly slower century by his standards. Even then, Abhishek managed a strike rate north of 200, bringing up his hundred in 47 balls. But he did not stop there as Sunrisers Hyderabad reached a total that looks almost improbable to chase, given the batting depth that DC possess

PCB Bans Sri Lanka's T20 World Cup Captain For 1 Year From PSL. Reason: IPL

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a one-year PSL ban on Sri Lanka's captain Dasun Shanaka. Shanaka, after initially being named in the Pakistan Super League, joined IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals side in the Indian Premier League. The PCB has also banned Blessing Muzarabani for two years for the same reason but his agent Rob Humphries claims his player never signed any contract with a PSL franchise so his ban is unjustified and should be reviewed.

The PCB said on Monday that after a comprehensive review of the recent contractual developments involving Shanaka and Lahore Qalandars, the player's unilateral withdrawal from the tournament on March 21 constituted a clear breach of both the player registration terms and the tripartite agreement.

"The findings indicated that the withdrawal was made on grounds not recognized within the existing contractual framework," the PCB said.

Shanaka led Sri Lanka in this year's T20 World Cup.

Shanaka was in March confirmed as a replacement for the injured England all-rounder Sam Curran in the Rajasthan Royals camp for IPL 2026. Shanaka joined Rajasthan Royals for Rs 2 crore.

"Dasun Shanaka will join RR for INR 2 crore as a replacement for Curran. Shanaka has represented Sri Lanka in 6 Tests, 71 ODIs and 131 T20Is and has over 3350 international runs and 86 wickets in international cricket against his name," an IPL release said.

The 34-year-old Dasun Shanaka made a solitary appearance in the IPL for Gujarat Titans in 2023, playing three matches.

"We are disappointed to lose a player of Sam's calibre so close to the start of the season," RR head coach and team director Kumar Sangakkara said in a statement.

"Sam brings immense value with both bat and ball. However, we are pleased to have found an ideal replacement in Dasun Shanaka, a finisher with the bat and a quality all-rounder who helps maintain the balance of our side," he added.

KKR Out Of IPL 2026 Playoffs Race? What Loss vs GT Means For Rahane And Co

Kolkata Knight Riders continued their dismal run in IPL 2026 as the Ajinkya Rahane-led side suffered a 5-wicket loss against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. It was the fifth loss for KKR in six matches, with their only point coming after the game against Punjab Kings was washed out. It has been a disappointing show from the three-time champions as they are last in the IPL points table with a Net Run Rate of -1.149. However, they are still not mathematically out of the IPL playoffs race. With eight matches to go, KKR can still reach 17 points if they win all their games, which should be enough to guarantee qualification. Even with one loss, they may finish in the top four with 15 points. However, if they lose two of their remaining matches and win the rest, they will have 13 points and their fortune will rest on other teams' results.

Shubman Gill led from the front with a classy 86 as Gujarat Titans defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets.

Earlier, KKR all-rounder Cameron Green produced a fighting 79 off 55 balls to lift his side to 180 all out. In reply, Gill anchored the chase with a composed 86 off 50 deliveries as GT crossed the line in 19.4 overs. The win marked GT's third successive victory after opening with two losses, while KKR's search for their first win of the season continues.

"Honestly, I don't think it matters. The only thing that matters is the win and you know, obviously, playing the final and winning the cup would be something that I'm looking forward to. Ideally we would have liked to finish it at least a couple of overs before. I should have been there to finish it, hopefully next time I will be there. The way both of them were bowling, it felt they could get a wicket every ball, it was a decision, I asked both of them, it is very hot and it is difficult to bowl three overs on the trot. They took the game away from us in the middle overs, but it was important to still to take wickets, they have a long batting line-up, I think Sunil came in at number 9, but still to have that mindset of taking wickets is important."

"Fitness was one thing I worked on, apart from that working on the mental aspect of the game. It is about staying in the present and not think too far ahead, you don't want to dwell on the past, your mind takes you to all sorts of places but it is important to stay in the present," Gill said after the match.

'World's Biggest Water Fight' Leads To191 Deaths In Thailand During Songkran

Known globally as the "world's largest water fight," the Thai festival of Songkran marks the traditional New Year. Celebrated in mid-April following the rice harvest, the festival is a significant time for family reunions and paying respect to ancestors, elders, and visiting Buddhist temples. This year's week-long celebration, however, has taken a tragic turn, with reports detailing over 951 accidents, hundreds of injuries, and more than 191 deaths.

Every year, the holiday triggers a mass exodus from major cities like Bangkok as millions travel to their home provinces to celebrate with the family. Subsequently, 52 people died in road incidents on the first two days of the celebrations alone. Speeding was the leading cause of fatalities at just under 42 per cent, while drunk driving accounted for 27.4 per cent of accidents, according to a report in the New York Post.

Nicknamed the "seven dangerous days," the death toll during the festival is also driven by "speeding and risky behaviours such as not wearing helmets". Data from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation indicates that the 3:01 pm to 6:00 pm time slot experiences the highest frequency of accidents.

Despite the government's regular reminders, safety campaign initiatives and stricter drunk driving laws, the carnage continues. This year, the Thai holiday is expected to attract around 500,000 international visitors and 30.4 billion baht in revenue ($940 million).

Songkran Festivities

Songkran marks the sun's annual passage into the Aries constellation, which is the first sign of the Zodiac, and represents the traditional start of the new year.  The word Songkran itself comes from the Sanskrit word Sankranti, which means astrological passage or transition. Makar Sankranti and Uttarayan -- the harvest festivals in India all share this ancient Sanskrit root.

Water plays a major role in the festival. Symbolically, it washes away the previous year so people can get ready for the next one. But many other Songkran traditions use water as well. People prepare for the new year by cleaning houses, schools, offices, and other public spaces. They're joined by family members who have moved away and returned for the holiday to spend time with loved ones.

Why Akshay Kumar's Son Aarav "Refused" To Meet Vidya Balan For 6 Years

Akshay Kumar is set to appear in Priyadarshan's upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, which is scheduled to be released in theatres this Friday. While promoting the film at an event in Delhi, Akshay spoke about the project and explained how it differs from his earlier horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

What Akshay Kumar Said

During a conversation with Hindustan Times, the actor shared a personal anecdote related to Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Akshay recalled that his son, Aarav, experienced a profound impact after watching the film's release in 2007. The actor said that Aarav was so frightened by Vidya Balan's character that he remained scared of the actor for nearly six years after watching the movie.

Akshay said, "I was talking to my son, and he told me when he saw Bhool Bhulaiyaa for the first time, he was scared of Vidya Balan for six years. Whenever she came home, he refused to meet her, didn't look into her eyes; he could see Manjulika in her. He had developed a problem with her. I actually had to nurture him and tell him that she wasn't Manjulika, she was Vidya, and she is a nice person. But he was never convinced. For six years, she was scarred."

Talking about Bhooth Bangla and how it differs from Bhool Bhulaiyaa, he said, "Bhooth Bangla is a horror fantasy; it's like a Disney movie. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a psychological thriller. When it starts, you can see she is possessed and later learn that it's a mental problem. In Bhooth Bangla, we have explained how Vadhusur came in and why he is doing what he is. The film is meant for children, also."

About Bhooth Bangla

Bhooth Bangla is set to hit screens on April 16. Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan last collaborated on Khatta Meetha in 2010.

The film features a large ensemble cast, including Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi and the late actor Asrani. Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd., in association with Cape of Good Films, Bhooth Bangla is produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R. Kapoor.

Wearing Flak Vest, Benjamin Netanyahu Visits Lebanon: "War Continues"

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's Prime Minister, visited southern Lebanon on Sunday and met with Israeli troops. Wearing what appears to be a flak vest, the embattled leader said Israeli forces had eliminated the threat of an invasion by Hezbollah militants.

A flak vest is a body armour designed to protect from lower-velocity projectiles.

In a video released by his office, which showed him surrounded by masked soldiers, Netanyahu further said that the war in Lebanon continues. "The war continues, including within the security zone in Lebanon," Netanyahu said.

"What we are seeing is that we have thwarted the threat of an invasion from Lebanon through this security zone," he added.

The Israeli PM was accompanied by Defence Minister Israel Katz.

Earlier this week, Netanyahu announced that he had authorised direct negotiations with Lebanon “as soon as possible”.

Israel and Lebanon have technically been at war since Israel was established in 1948.

The Israeli Prime Minister later said there was no ceasefire between them. In a video statement, he said Israel will keep striking Hezbollah until security is restored in northern Israel.

"I wish to inform you: There is no ceasefire in Lebanon. We are continuing to strike Hezbollah with full force, and we will not stop until we restore your security," he said earlier this week.

He further said that the negotiation aims to disarm Hezbollah and achieve a "historic peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon".

"Following repeated requests from the Lebanese government, last night I instructed the Cabinet to begin direct negotiations with Lebanon to achieve two goals. First, the disarmament of Hezbollah. Second, a historic peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon," he said.

He has said that he wants a peace agreement that lasts for several generations.

The Israel Defence Forces has launched a fresh wave of strikes on Hezbollah launch sites after the announcements.

Yuvraj Reveals What Happened After Lalit Modi Offered Porsche For 6 6s

Yuvraj Singh was one of the main architects of India's domination at the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup. In a team full of superstars, Yuvraj was the Player of the Tournament in both marquee events that India won under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. While Yuvraj is the holder of many feats, his six sixes against Stuart Broad at the 2007 T20 World Cup still evoke pure nostalgia. In the match at Durban, Yuvraj slammed Broad for six sixes in the 19th over, on the way to scoring a 12-ball half-century.

There is a popular story on social media that former IPL chairman Lalit Modi gifted Yuvraj Singh a car for his six sixes. Yuvraj Singh has finally revealed the actual story.

"He said to me that if someone hits six sixes, I'm going to give him a Ferrari. It just happened, and I was like, 'Where's my Ferrari?' He promised a Porsche 911, and I asked, 'Where's my Porsche?' He said, 'You will get your car.' I asked, 'What if I win the next game? Do I upgrade to a Ferrari?' He said, 'No, no, no, you will only get a Porsche.' But I actually got my car from him," Yuvraj Singh said on The Overlap Cricket.

"I got a BMW M5. He did deliver. He is a man of his word."

Former IPL chairman Lalit Modi, who left India in 2010 amid allegations related to tax evasion, money laundering, and proxy ownership linked to the IPL, made a controversial remark while responding to Vaughan's post.

Yuvraj also revealed what transpired between him and Stuart Broad's father, Chris, after he hit the six sixes.

"After the fifth six, I smiled at him and said, 'We're even now, mate. The next one's for me.' His dad, Chris Broad, was the match referee. He came and told me, 'You almost finished my son's career!' He said, 'You need to sign a shirt for Stuart.' On my India shirt, I wrote to Stuart that I've been hit for five sixes, I know how it feels, and I hope you go on to become the best. Lately, I heard that when Chris gave him that shirt, he threw it in the bin!" he said.

'Kutte Ki Dum': Mukesh Khanna On Samay's 'Shaktimaan Ne Bachhe Maare' Remark

A year after Samay Raina landed in a proverbial soup for the infamous episode of his show India's Got Latent featuring Ranveer Allahbadia, the stand-up comedian clapped back at his trolls in his inimitable style through a stage act which only seems to have ruffled more feathers.

A day after clips of Samay Raina's special Still Alive started going 'crazy' on the Internet, veteran actor Mukesh Khanna lashed out at the actor for targeting him.

In an Instagram post, the Shaktimaan star and producer wrote, "Kutte ki dum tedhi rehti hai. Use lakh sheeshiyon mein rakho, baahar nikalo. Phir tedhi ki tedhi. Samay Raina ki bhi ek dum hai. Kitna bhi maaro, seedha karo, wo wapas tedhi ho jaati hai. Kyunki wo seedha-saada praani nahin hai. (The dog's tail remains crooked. You can try putting it in a bottle, bring it out, and it will still be crooked. Samay Raina too has a crooked tail. No matter how much thrash it, straighten it,, it will still go back to being crooked. Because he is not a simple, straightforward creature).

"Wo roasted praani hai... poore desh ne latada maara. Phir aa gaya besharmon ki tarah aur maar khane. Ab ek hee cheez baaqi hai. Uska muh kaala karke gadhe par bitha kar desh bhar ke shehron mein, galiyon mein uski parade karni chahiye jahan bachhe usko ande-tamatar maarein kyunki usne unke superhero Shaktimaan ka apmaan kiya hai (He is a roasted creature... The whole country has already rebuked him. Now, he is back like a shameless person to get more beatings. Now only one thing remains: his face should be blackened, he should be mounted on a donkey, and paraded through all the cities and lanes of the country, where children pelt him with eggs and tomatoes, because he has insulted their superhero Shaktimaan)."

In his 1.21-hour special Still Alive, Samay Raina spoke about how things went south when the India's Got Latent episode went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons. Last year, the comic faced severe backlash after Ranveer Allahbadia landed in a major controversy over his comment on parents and sex at his comedy variety show. Legal trouble, multiple FIRs, and summons from the National Commission for Women (NCW) followed.

Samay Raina pointed out how Mukesh Khanna also waded into the controversy. At the time, the veteran actor had criticised Ranveer Allahbadia.

"This is a serious offence. It should not be taken lightly. Offenders should be punished heavily in order to discourage people in future from making such ashleel and irresponsible statements. Someone asked me what I think should be done. I said, 'You should hold him and beat him. Make him sit on a donkey with his face painted black and make him tour the nation'," Mukesh Khanna had said at the time.

After a year, Samay Raina opened up about how he felt when 'Shaktimaan' himself went after them.

"Shaktiman aa gaya tha yaar. Shaktiman se kaise ladenge? Sorry, Shaktimaan! Tune bachhe maare hain fak-fak-fak karke, tu kya moral high ground lekar baitha hai? (Shaktimaan also joined in. How will we fight Shaktimaan? Sorry, Shaktimaan! Shaktimaan has killed children 'fak-fak-fak karke'. How are you taking the moral high ground?)"

In his special, the comic also announced that he will not back down and bring another season of India's Got Latent after the controversy.

Axar Wins Hearts With This Gesture For Miller After Narrow Loss vs GT. Video

David Miller was visibly distraught following Delhi Capitals' (DC) narrow one-run loss to the Gujarat Titans (GT) in their IPL 2026 clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday. Miller, who slammed an unbeaten 41 off just 20 balls, took a massive gamble on the penultimate ball of the contest, but the decision backfired. With two runs needed off as many balls, Miller refused a single on the second-to-last ball of Prasidh Krishna's over. However, it turned out to be the defining moment of the contest as Krishna bowled a slower bouncer to beat Miller.

Miller and Vipraj Nigam, who was at the non-striker's end, attempted to steal a quick bye, only for Jos Buttler to affect a direct hit at the striker's end to dismiss Nigam.

Miller was completely heartbroken after the result and had to be consoled by DC captain Axar Patel, who shook hands with his teammate and gave him a pat on the back.

Meanwhile, DC finished agonizingly short on 209 for 8 in pursuit of 211.

Jos Buttler (52 off 27) returned to his ballistic ways with a six laden half century before captain Shubman Gill (70 off) and Washington Sundar (55 off 32) powered Gujarat Titans to 210 for four.

Rahul (92 off 52) and Pathum Nissanka (41 off 24) provided an ideal platform for Delhi Capitals with a 76-run stand off 49 balls. However, Rashid Khan struck thrice in the middle overs to wrest the momentum from Delhi Capitals.

Titans had all under control until the 19th over with the home needing 36 off the last two overs.

It was a tough ask but with Miller (41 not out off 20) returning to the centre after treating his finger in the dressing room, there was hope.

Miller singlehandedly brought back Delhi Capitals in the game with a couple of cracking sixes and a four in a 23-run penultimate over from Mohammed Siraj.

After Google Layoff, Ex-Employee Issues Wake-Up Call For Overworked Employees

Jason Zhang, a former Google employee, has shared his bittersweet experience of being laid off despite working hard and giving years to his job. He said he sacrificed personal time and delayed vacations, but none of it "really mattered" in the end, as his dedication didn't shield him from being let go. In an Instagram post, he opened up about the layoff and said that companies can let their employees go at any time, which has become the "new normal".

"I have always prioritised work in my life and honestly still do. I thought that if I just worked harder, put more hours in, delay that vacation, it'll all be worth it," he wrote as the caption of the video. "But despite that, none of it really mattered."

"I delayed many things I wanted to do so I can put in more effort into my job, convinced that working harder means I am less likely to be let go," the caption added. "But I've seen that to not be the case for many talented people I've worked with."

He further noted that after he lost the job, he wanted to start building something for himself that "no one can take away". He concluded the post with a question, "So if you knew you'd lose your job tomorrow, what would you do differently?"

Zhang's experience is not unique. Many employees face burnout and exhaustion due to excessive work pressure, blurred boundaries, and a lack of genuine breaks.

Social Media Reaction

The video received significant traction with over 28,000 views. Users took to the comment section to share their experiences. "As a fellow creator - I want you to know that this is genuinely super inspiring and im going to get back to the things that actually matter to me," one user wrote.

"Unfortunately, or fortunately, everyone should live as if you will lose your job tomorrow... Imagine how many people would be entrepreneurs," another user suggested.

"We are always taught to work hard for someone, but never for or on ourselves. Always prioritize life and health, work will not stop without you but your life will," said a third user.

India Makes First Iranian Oil Purchase In 7 Years, With "No Payment Hurdle"

Indian refiners have purchased Iranian oil amid the Middle East conflict that has disrupted supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, the oil ministry said on Saturday.

The world's third-biggest oil importer and consumer, India has not received a cargo from Tehran since May 2019, following US pressure not to buy Iranian crude, but supply disruptions from the war have hit the country.

"Amid Middle East supply disruptions, Indian refiners have secured their crude oil requirements, including from Iran; and there is no payment hurdle for Iranian crude imports," the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said on X.

Last month, the United States temporarily removed sanctions on Iranian oil and refined products to ease supply shortages.

India has secured its full requirements of crude oil for the coming months, the ministry added.

"India imports crude oil from 40-plus countries, with companies having full flexibility to source oil from different sources and geographies based on commercial considerations."

India has also bought 44,000 metric tons of Iranian liquefied petroleum gas loaded on a sanctioned vessel. The ministry said the vessel, which berthed at the western port of Mangalore on Wednesday, is discharging the fuel.

IPL Chairman Asked About Pak Players' Absence, Mustafizur. His Reply

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 saw a controversial moment even before it began. Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman, picked by Kolkata Knight Riders, was barred from playing in the tournament. Though no official reason was given, the political turmoil in Bangladesh was seen as a major factor behind the decision. Arun Dhumal, the current IPL chairman, was asked about the omission in a recent interview in Financial Times. Arun Dhumal was asked: "Politics keeps rearing its head in cricket. Pakistani players have not played in the IPL since 2009, and more recently, Kolkata Knight Riders released Mustafizur Rahman after the BCCI instructed the franchise to do so in January 2026. Is it unrealistic to delink the IPL from politics in the subcontinent?"

Dhumal replied: "It is unfortunate, I would say, the way things unfold at times. I do not think the government has any interest in or role to play in running cricket day to day. The government is supportive of cricket at large. But yes, sometimes events happen around us and decisions follow. I am sure good sense will prevail and that this will not be the case going forward."

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) directed Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to release Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who was auctioned for $1 million, from its 2026 squad. The decision did not go down well with the Bangladesh government and the public, and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) responded by seeking the relocation of their team's matches in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 from India to Sri Lanka, citing "security concerns" for its players. Despite repeated assessments, the ICC rejected the request, citing the absence of any credible security threats to Bangladeshi players. Bangladesh was eventually withdrawn from the T20 World Cup and replaced by Scotland.

The matter was eventually resolved, with the BCB avoiding a hefty fine from the ICC and being awarded the hosting rights for an ICC event in 2028. Bangladesh also decided to ban the broadcast of IPL matches in the country, although the ban was lifted recently.

As per the ICC Future Tours Programme, India is scheduled to play Bangladesh in a series, but the plan is currently on hold

DC Snub Rs 8.4 Crore Jammu And Kashmir Star For IPL 2026 Clash vs LSG

Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the fifth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday. DC left out Jammu and Kashmir's Ranji Trophy-winning pacer Auqib Nabi, despite acquiring him for a staggering Rs 8.4 crore at the IPL 2026 mini-auction.

"We will bowl first. First game, red soil, so we want to see how the pitch plays," said DC captain Axar Patel after winning the toss. Obviously, the data is there that the second team wins more. The tournament is starting, we want to see how our bowling goes, and that's what we wanted to bowl. Last season, we started well, but we failed to qualify because of one match in the middle. We want to start well again, hope to see it go then."

On his overseas pick, Patel said, "three batters and a bowler. David Miller, Pathum Nissanka, Tristan Stubbs, and Lungi Ngidi."

Rishabh Pant, Lucknow Super Giants captain, said, "I think it doesn't matter in a wicket like this. It's always good to have what you want. The wicket won't change much apart from the dew. I think it's a completely new energy for sure. We have changed our colour, logo, and definitely our mindset over the last year. We are also working on the negative stuff for sure.

"We are feeling good, and I think that's the only thing I am going to say. I am feeling good and ready to roar. Well, definitely we have to improve from what we did last season. We need to look into the injuries as well. As a captain, you can't look into those things too much. The bowlers are really fit and waiting to just go out there and make an impact," he added.

Playing XIs:

Delhi Capitals: Pathum Nissanka, KL Rahul (wk), Nitish Rana, Axar Patel (c), David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Vipraj Nigam, Lungi Ngidi, T Natarajan, Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav

Impact substitutes: Sameer Rizvi, Karun Nair, Ashutosh Sharma, Dushmantha Chameera, Auqib Nabi

Lucknow Super Giants: Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (c and wk), Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad, Mukul Choudhary, Mohsin Khan, Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav, Anrich Nortje

Impact substitutes: Digvesh Singh Rathi, Avesh Khan, Himmat Singh, Shahbaz Ahmed, Akshat Raghuwanshi
