FIFA World Cup 2026 Standings: Check Groups E, F Points Table

Teams from Groups E and F were in action during the late hours of Saturday and the early hours of Sunday (still Saturday in the United States, Mexico and Canada) at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The day's action began with the Netherlands facing Sweden in a Group F encounter in Houston. Attention then shifted to Toronto, where Germany took on Ivory Coast in a Group E clash.

Later, Ecuador squared off against World Cup debutants Curaçao in Kansas City in another Group E fixture, before the matchday concluded in Monterrey, Mexico, where Japan faced Tunisia in the final Group F contest of the night.

Here is how the four games panned out and how the Group E and Group F standings look like after the four-action packed matches:

Netherlands crush Sweden

The Netherlands produced a dominant display to thrash Sweden 5-1, with Brian Brobbey and Cody Gakpo both scoring twice before Crysencio Summerville added a late fifth to complete the rout.

Germany beat Ivory Coast

Deniz Undav scored two goals off the bench as Germany pulled off a thrilling comeback to beat Ivory Coast 2-1 in their World Cup Group E match on Saturday, securing their place in the knockout stage for the first time since they won the title in 2014.

Curaçao Draws With Ecuador, Earns First Point Of Their World Cup Campaign

World Cup debutants Curaçao earned the first point in their history at the tournament after battling to a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Ecuador on Saturday, with goalkeeper Eloy Room delivering a standout performance to secure a memorable result.

Just six days after suffering a heavy 7-1 defeat to Germany in their World Cup debut, the Caribbean minnows responded in remarkable fashion. The smallest nation ever to qualify for the finals, with a population of around 156,000, produced a disciplined and resilient display to frustrate the South Americans and keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stage alive.

Japan Put Four Past Tunisia in the 1000th World Cup match

Japan celebrated the 1,000th match in FIFA World Cup history with a dominant 4-0 victory over Tunisia in Group F with Ayase Ueda scoring twice as the Samurai Blue secured a crucial win and eliminated the North Africans from the tournament.

Having drawn 2-2 with the Netherlands in their opening match, Hajime Moriyasu's side made a blistering start and took the lead after just four minutes. A flowing team move carved open the Tunisian defence before Keito Nakamura squared the ball for Daichi Kamada to finish from close range.

Upasana Singh On Being Rejected For Maine Pyaar Kiya: "Was Taller Than Salman"

Sooraj Barjatya's Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989), starring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree, was a massive hit. Not many people know that actress Upasana Singh was first approached to play Bhagyashree's role but was later dropped. She even approached Sooraj Barjatya's father, Raj Kumar Barjatya, afterwards for an explanation.

What's Happening

  • Upasana Singh went down memory lane with Galatta India as she recalled her audition for Maine Pyaar Kiya.
  • She said, "I was studying in Chandigarh at that time and my aunt used to stay in Chembur. I always used to say that I wanted to be a heroine. So, whenever I used to come to Mumbai, I used to meet all these directors and producers."
  • She continued, "So, once I came and met Gupta ji (who handles Sooraj Barjatya's work). He told me that Rajshri was making a film called Maine Pyaar Kiya and he would make me meet Sooraj Barjatya. I told him that I'd been doing theatre since childhood and was interested in acting. He (Sooraj Barjatya) didn't take a proper audition, just asked me to say three or four dialogues. He liked me, and told Gupta ji that I was selected from his side."
  • "But he wanted me to meet his father as well. Gupta ji then called me and said that I was selected from Sooraj ji's side, and then I met his father. I went back to Chandigarh, but I never received a call. Then the film was made. I didn't go to watch the film for a long time because I was feeling upset that I was the heroine and it was made without me. I didn't tell anyone that I was selected because it felt insulting," added Upasana Singh.
  • The actress then revealed that years later, when she was shooting with Sooraj Barjatya for Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, Raj Kumar Barjatya brought up the topic of her being rejected for Maine Pyaar Kiya, and she burst out.
  • She shared, "A few years later, I did Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon with Sooraj ji. We were shooting in Switzerland and Sooraj ji's father revealed to everyone that I was the first choice for Maine Pyaar Kiya. I didn't react at all. I wasn't even expecting he would take my name but he did. Everyone was shocked and asked why I wasn't cast finally. I got angry then and I told him, 'You rejected me, why?' He said that it was because I was taller than Salman Khan. I replied, 'Even Sridevi is taller than him, but she can work with him. Don't fool me!' He said, 'If we had cast you, you also would have left the industry like Sridevi did.'"
  • "At that time, I felt extremely bad. It was such a great film but I didn't watch it for a long time. I just felt that I would have abused Bhagyashree if I went to watch the film. But she performed really well and deserved that role, though I felt I deserved it more than her. Salman knew about this," concluded Upasana Singh.

About Maine Pyaar Kiya

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, Maine Pyaar Kiya introduced Salman Khan in his first leading role and marked Bhagyashree's debut in Bollywood. The film also featured Alok Nath, Mohnish Bahl, Reema Lagoo, Rajeev Verma, Ajit Vachani, and Laxmikant Berde in key roles.

About Upasana Singh

An established Indian actress and comedian, Upasana Singh has showcased a versatile range on television and in Hindi, Punjabi, and Rajasthani cinema.

She has been very popular as the groom-hunting Pinky Bua in Comedy Nights with Kapil. As for Bollywood films, she's had supporting roles in films like Judaai and Sarfarosh.

Cristiano Ronaldo: How Portugal's Superstar Turned Into Their Biggest Concern

“The team needs to score, not you need to score” - Thierry Henry's words perfectly captured Cristiano Ronaldo's struggles during the FIFA World Cup 2026 opener against DR Congo on Wednesday. It was an uncharacterstically lackluster show from a superstar who made his name at the back of pure determination and the power to strike fear into the opposition's heart. However, what the fans experienced at the Houston Stadium in Texas was the performance of an aging superstar who is not finding it easy to adapt to his new role. 25 touches and not a single shot on target - these numbers will be horrible for any striker but if it is one of the best footballers in the modern game, the question arises - are we at the end of the road?

Portugal got off to the perfect start thanks to a headed goal by Joao Neves early in the match and it looked like business as usual for them. With a midfield boasting of superstars like Vitinha, Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva, there was hardly any lack of creativity and after just 25 minutes of play, Portugal ended up playing 200 more passes than their opponents.

However, what emerged as the problem was the finishing and creating chances that could eventually end up in a goal. Ronaldo looked rigid as the striker and Portugal ending up taking just six more shots in the entire match after Neves' goal. What was even more concerning that with the match ending 1-1 and DR Congo claiming a historic point, it was actually their opponents who had more shot attempts (eight to seven), more shots on goal (two to one) and more xG created (0.82 to 0.64).

The Ronaldo Problem

Ronaldo claimed the record of being the oldest outfield player to start a match in  World Cup history at the age of 41 years and 132 days. He ended up breaking the record held by Canada's Atiba Hutchinson and it was a testament to his longetivity and commitment to the game. However, although people say "age is just a number", it does catch up with athletes.

Ronaldo was a fiery winger in his youth who was known for dribbling past oppositions and pulling off physical feats that left the world stunned. However, over the years, he has adopted a more central forward role with little defensive contributions. In the current Portuguese system, he hardly ever drops back to help in build-up with his goal-scoring being his only purpose.

However, with zero goals in his last 10 World Cup and Euro matches, even the numbers show a clear story of struggle.

Farewell Tour Impacting Portugal's Chances?

At 41, it is likely that Ronaldo will not play any more World Cups. The fanfare around his every move has been sensational in the build-up to the tournament and with 28 goals in 30 games for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, he seemed ready.

But, a closer look at his performances for Portugal in the recent past revealed a horror story.

The superstar has played 396 out of possible 420 minutes in the team's last four matches in major competitions. In these games, Portugal have scored just once. While the team average 1.9 goals per game when he starts, it jumps to 2.8 when he does not. Even that average is a bit skewed considering it includes a 9-1 victory over Armenia.

A comparison with Lionel Messi is quite natural but what the Argentine footballer lacks in pace, he makes up in link-up play and spacial awareness. The system utilised by Argentina allows faster players to make runs into the attacking third while Messi adopts a more deeper role which he uses to either make the pass or create a long-range attempt.

In comparison, Portugal are stacked by technicians like Bruno and Vitinha who are brilliant in creating chances but a wayward or misfiring Ronaldo can be the difference that ends up causing the team some grief in the tournament. Even on Wednesday, Portugal controlled the game but the spark to create something special just never came from Ronaldo and Co.

Burden Of History

At the end of the match, Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez was clear about his decision to play Ronaldo for 90 minutes. "In a match like today's, where it was difficult to get into the box, it is important to use Cristiano's quality. It makes no sense to take off the greatest goalscorer in the history of football in a match where we need goals," he told the media.

The words could not have been more accurate but they also hold the essence of the core problem. He is indeed one of the greatest goalscorers in the history of football but that Ronaldo has not been seen on the international stage for quite some time. Instead, we have an aging superstar who still has the mental prowess but not the physical grit to play his natural game.

Against DR Congo. we saw a Ronaldo who neither helped his side in creating opportunities nor came up with anything special to clinch the game for his side.

It was a superstar who seemed like a shadow of his old self and a seemingly weak link in the Portuguese system that can bring their World Cup dreams crashing down to the ground.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 match between Brazil and Morocco brought a unique moment to fans as legendary Brazil striker Ronaldo Nazario met popular influencer and YouTuber IShowSpeed (Darren Watkins Jr., also known as Speed). Ronaldo, who is nicknamed R9, met with Speed at the New York New Jersey Stadium, where the Brazil-Morocco game took place. The two shared a hilarious conversation, with Ronaldo making a joke regarding Speed's muscles. Ronaldo jokingly asks Speed whether the latter has been "taking something" in order to attain the muscles, to which the YouTuber replies in an energetic tone.

"You take something? It's only training, this?" says Ronaldo to Speed regarding his muscles, in a video that has gone viral on social media.

"This is natural!" replies Speed, but Ronaldo remains unconvinced.

Speed then goes on to say that he is ready to do a blood test too in order to prove that his muscles and six-pack are natural. Later in the video, Speed can be seen saying that he takes Ronaldo's disbelief over his muscles as a compliment.

Brazil vs Morocco, FIFA World Cup 2026: As it happened

Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti said that "you don't win a World Cup based on your first match" after the five-time champions laboured to a 1-1 draw with Morocco on Saturday.

The Selecao were in danger of losing their opening game at a World Cup for the first time since 1934 after falling behind to Ismael Saibari's goal in New Jersey.

Vinicius Junior struck a superb equaliser to earn a point for Brazil, but Ancelotti admitted it was not the type of performance expected from his team.

"I think this was a tough match, especially in the beginning. I think the team was a bit anxious and nerves were all over the place," said Ancelotti.

"We didn't play well, but we cannot lose heart. This is the first match in the World Cup and we can't... think the team is doing perfectly from the get-go.

Turn Classic Sheera Into A Summer Favourite With Mango

Sheera is one of the most loved traditional Indian desserts, known for its rich texture and comforting taste. Usually prepared with semolina, ghee, sugar, and milk or water, this simple sweet dish has been a part of family celebrations and festive meals for generations. But when summer arrives, there is one ingredient that can make this classic recipe even more special-fresh, juicy mangoes. Adding ripe mango pulp to sheera brings a natural fruity sweetness and a soft golden colour that instantly lifts the dish. The combination of roasted semolina and the tropical flavour of mango creates a dessert that feels both familiar and refreshing. Whether you are preparing a quick family treat or looking for a unique dessert for guests, mango sheera is an easy recipe that captures the essence of the season in every bite.

Why Mango Adds A Perfect Summer Touch

A mango twist turns regular sheera into a vibrant summer dessert without making the recipe complicated. The natural sweetness of ripe mangoes reduces the need for extra sugar while adding a fresh, fruity aroma. Mango pulp blends well with roasted semolina, giving it a smooth and creamy texture. The bright yellow colour also makes the dish look more festive and appealing. Topped with chopped nuts and a few strands of saffron, mango sheera becomes a delightful seasonal treat that both children and adults can enjoy.

How To Make Mango Sheera at Home

Ingredients

1 cup semolina (sooji/rava)

2 tablespoons ghee

1 cup fresh mango pulp

2 cups milk or water

1/2 cup sugar (adjust according to the sweetness of the mangoes)

2 tablespoons chopped almonds and cashews

1 tablespoon raisins

1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

A few saffron strands (optional)

A few mango cubes for garnish

Also ReadHow To Ripen Mangoes Naturally At Home Without Chemicals

Method

Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and add the semolina. Roast it on low heat, stirring continuously, until it turns aromatic and lightly golden.

In another pan, warm the milk or water and dissolve the sugar in it. Keep the mixture hot.

Slowly pour the hot liquid into the roasted semolina while stirring to avoid lumps. Cook for a few minutes until the semolina absorbs the liquid.

Add the fresh mango pulp and mix well. Let it cook on low heat for another 2-3 minutes so that the flavours blend nicely.

Stir in the cardamom powder, raisins, and half of the chopped nuts. If using saffron, add it at this stage.

Once the sheera reaches a soft and creamy consistency, switch off the heat.

Garnish with the remaining nuts and a few fresh mango cubes before serving. Enjoy it warm or slightly chilled for a refreshing summer dessert.

Mango sheera is a simple yet delicious way to give a traditional favourite a seasonal touch. With the sweetness of ripe mangoes and the comforting richness of classic sheera, this easy dessert is perfect for adding a taste of summer to your table.

Unhedged Position | Could SpaceX Mark The Peak Of The AI Mania?

The listing of SpaceX is historic for many reasons. Key among those is that there is a high chance that SpaceX, thanks to its invention of reusable rocket technology, will be among the few companies that will be remembered even a hundred years from now. It is only fitting that its listing could mark another milestone: the making of the world's first trillionaire, Elon Musk.

After all, the maverick inventor has shown that the way to achieve incredible goals is to make them audaciously, and keep pushing relentlessly even in the face of repeated failures - treating failure as the feature rather than the bug in his working model.

ALSO READ: SpaceX IPO Opens Today: Inside The Sci-Fi Vision Of Musk's Multiplanetary Future

SpaceX has also made a large AI play, which in part has lifted its valuations alongside other AI peers.

Its post-listing valuation goal of $1.7 trillion is staggering when compared to its revenue of about $19 billion.

This has led many to believe that the listing - combined with the expected upcoming listings of OpenAI and Anthropic - could mark the peak of the AI bubble.

The hypothesis is compelling, and could well prove to be true.

After all, valuations of AI companies indeed appear to represent the qualities associated with a bubble: typically built on a solid premise of disruption but stretched beyond what the medium-term reality can support by way of earnings growth.

Let's look at SpaceX in this context.

The standard way of valuing companies is the discounted cash flow model, where analysts make assumptions about long-term future profits and discount it to the present for valuation estimates.

But in cases of uncertainty, a better model is reverse DCF, where we assume a reasonable future PE ratio in the future, and then estimate how quickly the company must grow to justify its current valuations.

And according to one analysis, over the next 10 years, SpaceX will have to grow revenues from the current $19 billion to about $500 billion - a compounded annualised growth rate of over 40% while maintaining margins at around 45%.

No company generating more than $20 billion in annual revenue has ever sustained a 40% CAGR over a decade. This does not automatically mean it's not possible but just that practically everything will have to go right for SpaceX.

As an investor, it is generally foolhardy to bet on everything going right.

ALSO READ: SpaceX IPO Raises $75 Billion in Biggest Debut of All Time, Share Price Set At $135

Does that automatically mean that the listing of SpaceX and its ilk could pop the AI bubble?

The first point to make is that making precise predictions, both about an event and its timing, is an exercise fraught with hazard. A better model is to think probabilistically.

Which brings me to the bull case scenario -- my personal base case.

It has been commonly seen that bubbles tend to last longer than most people imagine. It is why George Soros famously said that when he sees a bubble forming, he buys. And, as the saying goes, bull markets don't end "till the last bear has thrown in the towel" -- there's plenty of skepticism over AI currently. This supports the case that there's a high chance the bubble continues to expand.

So, what will have to give for the bubble to pop?

All bubbles are psychological phenomena.

Investors buy because: (a) prices have risen recently and investors expect them to continue rising (recency bias); or (b) there is a belief that expensive assets can become even more expensive (the greater fool theory).

Market prices are often driven by self-reinforcing beliefs. (Say enough people believe that a stock crossing its 200-day moving average is important, and hence it becomes important - the stock crosses the level and people buy, causing the belief to become self-fulfilling.)

This means that how the SpaceX stock fares on listing day could dictate where the AI boom goes from there – and that's impossible to predict.

But what can be predicted is the way things proceed depending on how SpaceX share price moves on the listing day. Here's how I look at it.

-    Blockbuster listing: The party likely continues.
-    A muted listing: There is a sense of sobering – even healthy consolidation – before this grows further for months, if not years.
-    Prices crash spectacularly: The AI bubble pops.

Trump Cancels Iran Bombing, Pivots From Oil Seizure Threats To High-Level Talks

US President Donald Trump has cancelled the bombings planned on Iran on Thursday, citing discussions between the United States and the "highest level of leadership" in Tehran.

"Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening," he said.

In a Truth Social post, Trump said the main points of discussion were approved by all key stakeholders, including Israel and Arab states.

"Discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others," he added.

The remarks had an immediate impact on the oil market, with Brent futures sliding 3.3% to $90.2 a barrel.

Trump claimed that a deal with Tehran would be announced shortly, but the US-imposed naval blockade in Hormuz will remain in force for now.

"The naval blockade will remain in full force and effect until this transaction is finalized — Time and place of the signing to be announced shortly," he stated.

The developments came hours after Trump promised to take over Iran's Kharg Island, and assert "total control" of the country's oil and energy market.

"At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela," he had stated.

Trump also vowed to launch "very hard strikes" on Iran later on Thursday, stating that the country needs to be punished for taking too long to negotiate a deal with the US. In an interview with Fox News, he noted that any agreement with Iran will leave no scope for the country to pursue its nuclear ambitions.

Richa Ghosh's Knock In Vain As India Lose Final T20 WC Warm-Up Game To England

Richa Ghosh produced a breathtaking late assault but India's brittle top-order batting proved costly as Dani Gibson's sparkling all-round show powered England to a narrow five-run win in their final Women's T20 World Cup warm-up match in Cardiff on Wednesday. After Harmanpreet Kaur opted to bowl, England rode on half-centuries from Amy Jones (64 off 45 balls) and skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt (57 off 45 balls) before Gibson's unbeaten 30 off just 12 balls lifted them to 171 for 6. India's chase never quite gathered momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals, but Richa's stunning 68 off 36 balls nearly pulled off the impossible before left-arm spinner Linsey Smith (3/42) held her nerve to bowl India out for 166 in 19.5 overs.

Gibson also took the wickets of Bhatia and Fulmali in the crucial middle overs phase to return with 2/17 from her two overs, while Charlie Dean (2/1) and Tilly Corteen-Coleman (2/22) also provided fine support.

The defeat exposed a few concerns for India ahead of the T20 World Cup, with the top order misfiring once again, and fielding lapses allowing England crucial extra runs.

Gibson smashed Renuka Singh for two fours and one six to collect 19 runs in the last over, and that proved decisive.

Smriti Mandhana's lean run continued as she fell for one, extending a worrying sequence in which her highest score in seven innings since her 82 against Australia in February has been just 37.

Shafali Verma made a brisk 13 off six balls before miscuing Issy Wong, while Yastika Bhatia (15), skipper Harmanpreet (17) and Bharti Fulmali (18) also failed to convert their starts.

At 132 for 7 in 17.3 overs, India looked well out of the contest before Richa launched a spectacular counter-attack.

Needing 38 from the last two overs, the Bengal wicketkeeper-batter tore into Wong, smashing three fours and a six in a 21-run penultimate over to bring the equation down to 17 off the final over.

Richa continued her charge against Smith, first sweeping her for a four and then launching a massive straight six to reduce the target to six runs from three balls.

However, with victory within sight, Smith lured Richa out of her crease and wicketkeeper Alice Capsey completed the stumping.

Renuka then holed out while attempting a big hit as India were dismissed with one ball remaining.

Earlier, England's innings was built around a 70-run stand between Jones and Sciver-Brunt after India had kept things tight in the opening phase.

Jones punished anything loose during her 45-ball 64, while Sciver-Brunt, returned to rhythm with a 57-run knock with eight fours.

India's bowlers did well to control the scoring for large periods, especially around the rain interruption, but Gibson's late blitz tilted the balance decisively.

Shreyanka Patil was India's standout bowler, claiming 2/29 and striking twice in successive deliveries in the penultimate over to dismiss Sciver-Brunt and Dean.

Four other bowlers picked up a wicket each.

India also gave the new ball to Shafali Verma, an indication that the team management views her as a potential sixth bowler. The off-spinner returned figures of 1 for 18 from two overs, including the key wicket of Jones.

However, veteran spin all-rounder Deepti Sharma was not used with the ball as India rotated six bowling options, while Shreyanka and Radha Yadav (1/38) once again made strong cases with disciplined performances.

Dylan Larkin Trade Rumors Continue To Grow

Dylan Larkin's trade request remains a major topic of discussion this offseason for the NHL, with some insiders suggesting the Detroit Red Wings captain could be headed to several different teams. Even if Detroit GM Steve Yzerman is focused on getting the best possible return, it's already bringing uncertainty for the Red Wings and other franchises watching the market very closely. Among those teams, the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens are among the clubs being mentioned, because recent reports have them tied to that veteran center again and again.

How Dylan Larkin's Trade Request Could Affect Detroit Red Wings Plans

According to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun, Larkin has given the Red Wings a shortlist of desired places to be, though the insider feels those choices could change as trade talks progress. LeBrun also pointed out that getting to some resolution before training camp would probably help both sides.

The uncertainty around Larkin's future has complicated Detroit's offseason strategy. The Athletic's Max Bultman reported that the Red Wings might now need to replace their first-line center, while still handling a bunch of other roster needs, like extra secondary scoring and more forward depth. The situation has even sparked questions about whether Detroit could reconsider its current competitive timeline if a suitable deal cannot be found.

A few teams already surfaced as possible landing spots.LeBrun pointed to clubs like the Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild and Montreal Canadiens as potential suitors, but then Helene St. James from the Detroit Free Press reported that the Wild, Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers are thought to be on Larkin's preferred list as well.

Could Montreal Canadiens Pursue Dylan Larkin This Offseason

Montreal has reportedly shown some interest in Larkin as the organization evaluates other important roster decisions. Montreal Gazette reporter Stu Cowan suggested Larkin might be an ideal fit, as the Canadiens' second-line center, though any agreement would probably need a lot of significant assets coming back.

Meanwhile, goaltender Samuel Montembeault has emerged as a potential trade candidate, especially after Jakub Dobes started to rise inside the organization. And since the highly regarded prospect Jacob Fowler is also pushing for more NHL opportunities, Montreal might end up having some flexibility to look at the goalie market this summer.

Forward Kirby Dach's future is also drawing attention. As per TVA Sports Renaud Lavoie, there might be some league-wide interest if the Canadiens decide to move the former third overall selection. Dach is a restricted free agent, so Montreal has to sort out whether his injury background and qualifying offer fit, or not, into the club's longer-term plans.

As trade discussions start to warm up across the NHL, Larkin's situation could ultimately influence a lot more than just Detroit's offseason. A few franchises, including Montreal, might end up making their own roster calls depending on where one of the league's most discussed trade candidates finally ends up.

Yes Bank Gets Tax Demand Notice From Maharashtra GST Department

Yes Bank Ltd. has received a demand notice of Rs 63 crore for the period July 2017- June 2018  from the Maharashtra's Goods and Services Tax (GST) department, according to an exchange filing on Saturday.

''The total demand including penalty is Rs. 63,26,98,888 in relation to the GST matter,'' the filing stated, adding that the bank will take appropriate steps, including contesting the order through appeal within the prescribed timelines. Notably, the violation involved a GST demand along with levy of penalty and applicable interest.

Additionally, it said that the Bank believes that it has adequate factual and legal grounds to reasonably substantiate its position in this matter and at this juncture it "does not expect any material impact on financial, operation or other activities due to the said order."

''The Bank will take necessary legal remedy against the said order including filing an appeal,'' it added.

Yes Bank Q4FY26 Recap

Yes Bank reported a jump of 44% in standalone net profit to Rs 1,068.4 crore, compared to Rs 738 crore in the corresponding period last year. Higher loan growth and declining provisions helped the surge in net profit during the March quarter of FY26.

The leading private lender's performance was helped by broad-based growth across advances and deposits and lower cost of deposits, according to Vinay Tonse, Yes Bank's newly appointed chief executive. Loans grew 10.7% year-on-year during the quarter, accelerating from about 6.2% growth in the previous quarter, helped by a pickup in corporate lending, while deposits rose 12.1%.

The bank's net interest income, or the difference between interest earned on advances and paid on deposits, rose 15.9% to Rs 2,638 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26, compared to Rs 2,276 crore in the fourth quarter of FY25.

Yes Bank Share Price

Shares ended 2.3% higher at Rs 23.30 apiece on the NSE on Friday, compared to a 0.21% decline in the Nifty index.

"Didn't Get Fair Chance": Gambhir Confirms India Star's Return To Test XI

India head coach Gautam Gambhir on Friday said Sai Sudharsan has not got a fair run at the No.3 slot and indicated that the left-hander will be preferred over Devdutt Padikkal in the Test format ahead of the one-off game against Afghanistan. Gambhir also stated that the team will prepare four spinners for the tour of Sri Lanka in August. India will take on Afghanistan in a one-off Test starting here on Saturday which is not a part of the current World Test Championship cycle, in which the home side is currently placed sixth.

"Sai Sudharsan has not got a fair chance. He played mostly in England and I believe he needs to get a fair chance," Gambhir told the reporters.

"We can (only) pick 11 (players) and Sai isn't in bad form. He scored 700 runs in IPL. If we judge Sai on basis of 4-5 games we will never be able to build something," he added.

With Manav Suthar and Harsh Dubey are aiming for one spot as a left-arm spinner, Gambhir said India will need to prepare multiple spin bowling options for the two-Test series in Sri Lanka.

"Manav and Harsh are to a certain extent similar but different also in terms of release points. This match gives us a chance to determine our fourth spinner as we will take four spinners in Sri Lanka," he said.

"We will need to prepare differently when we go to New Zealand. So, we will pull out a few ODI regulars who play Tests. We understand we need to prepare better for Tests," Gambhir added.

Addressing Rishabh Pant's removal as Test vice-captain, Gambhir said the batter has his backing but needs to read the game situation better.

"We don't want Rishabh Pant to change but international cricket demands players to respect match situations," Gambhir said.

What Happened to KSI? YouTuber Says He's "Struggling"; After Sidemen Exit

KSI leaving Sidemen after 13 years was already a huge shock for fans. Even weeks later, people are still talking about it and trying to understand what made him step away from one of the biggest creator groups on the internet. While JJ never directly linked his departure to one specific reason, a recent video has got fans connecting a lot of dots.

The discussion started after a clip from KSI's YouTube video on his KSI+ channel began making rounds on social media. In the video, the creator spoke about how difficult it has become to manage everything happening in his life right now. From content creation and TV projects to music and personal commitments, KSI admitted that his schedule has become overwhelming. Because of that, many fans now think his comments may help explain why he decided to move away from Sidemen.

KSI says he is struggling to keep up with everything on his schedule

While talking in the video, KSI explained that there is simply too much happening at the same time. According to him, he is currently juggling his own YouTube channel, Sidemen work, Britain's Got Talent, Baller League, music projects, and several other responsibilities.

JJ said he has been "struggling time-wise" and even joked about how bad his calendar looks. He explained that if someone saw his schedule, they would probably wonder when he even gets time to relax or properly enjoy life.

The creator also revealed that his first holiday of the year is not expected until the end of September or around October. For many viewers, that detail showed just how packed his life has become over the last few years.

A lot of fans on X quickly reacted to these comments. Some felt this could be connected to his Sidemen departure, while others argued that stepping away completely was still a surprising decision.

KSI says family and personal life made him rethink things

Later in the same video, KSI shared a more personal moment that seemed to put things into perspective for him. While talking about his mother's 60th birthday, he reflected on how little time he has spent with his parents over the past decade.

According to JJ, he can count the number of times he has seen them during the last 10 years. That realization made him think more seriously about the way he has been living and working.

He explained that he cannot keep working nonstop forever without making time for the people closest to him. KSI also mentioned his girlfriend and said he does not want a situation where work becomes the only thing he has to show for all his success.

Because of that, the YouTuber said he is now trying to make changes in his life. He wants to find a better balance between his career and the people who matter to him.

KSI never directly said these issues were the reason he left Sidemen. Still, after hearing his comments about work, family, and finding balance, many fans believe they have a better understanding of what may have influenced his decision.

Gujarat Titans Reply After Gavaskar Says IPL Final Should've Been Postponed

The Gujarat Titans (GT) simply couldn't stand up to the challenge as they took on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final. The Shubman Gill-led side had to play three matches-two of them knockouts-in just six days. While they won the first two, the final saw some of their top performers failing to turn up. As the final started in Ahmedabad, Indian cricket icon Sunil Gavaskar said that the match should have been postponed, as Gujarat simply did not get enough rest due to adverse weather conditions that disrupted their travel plans.

The Shubman Gill-led side entered Sunday's IPL final with less than 24 hours of preparation after reaching Ahmedabad late on Saturday evening. When GT Director of Cricket Vikram Solanki was asked about the impact the tight schedule and travel had on his team, possibly leading to fatigue, he refused to use it as an excuse for the defeat in the final.

"Unfortunately, sir, I can't control the weather. If the weather means we have to land late, then there's nothing we can do about it," Solanki said during the post-match press conference.

When pressed further on the topic and asked if playing three games in the last six days took a toll on the team's physical fitness, Solanki admitted that it was challenging. Yet, he maintained that RCB deserved to win on the day because of the quality of cricket they played.

"It's the number of games in a short number of days is challenging, of course it is, at the end of a campaign. But I'm not going to lean on that at all. We had an opportunity to challenge RCB, in parts we did, but they were the better side today. And I think that's as simple as it is. We could look at matters of statistics as far as what lengths were bowled and what was done as far as the top order was concerned, did we travel late, did we do-that's all irrelevant now, to be totally honest with you.

READ Gujarat Titans Team Bus Catches Fire After IPL 2026 Final, Players Evacuated

"The fact is that RCB have beaten us today and we must be strong enough and hold our heads up high in being proud of the campaign that we've put together. Yet, also be gracious enough to congratulate RCB. So, it would almost be-I don't want to take away from the fact that RCB have won by simply stating that we've had this number of games in this short days and we're fatigued, and that's not really what we're about," he concluded.
