Cancer cases rise 10% in 4 yrs to 13.9L: Report

Cancer cases have risen by about 10% over the last four years in India to reach 13.9 lakh in 2020 and could touch 15.7 lakh by 2025. As per the National Cancer Registry Programme Report 2020, cases were estimated at 12.6 lakh in 2016 and 13.6 lakh in 2019. The estimates are based on collation of data for the period between 2012 and 2016 and extrapolations from those trends.
