Motor Vehicles Act: Nine-fold rise in cars seeking PUC in Bihar, U'khand

There has been up to nine-fold increase in the number of vehicles getting pollution under control certificates (PUCs) in the past 18 days since the amended Motor Vehicles Act was notified. Bihar and Uttarakhand have seen maximum increase in the number of PUCs issued when compared to August. Only 5 states have notified the revised fines & penalties for not having PUCs.
